How long for TWC payment to hit my ReliaCard after filing this morning?

I just filed my payment request for TWC unemployment at around 7am this morning and I'm trying to figure out when I can expect the funds to be deposited onto my ReliaCard. This is my first time doing a payment request so I'm not familiar with the timeline. Bills are due soon and I really need to know if I'll have the money in time. Does anyone know how long TWC usually takes to process and deposit after an early morning filing? Is it different on weekends versus weekdays?

TWC typically processes payment requests within 2-3 business days. If you filed early this morning (good move!) and there are no issues with your claim, you should see the deposit on your ReliaCard by Thursday or Friday. Remember that weekends don't count as business days, and the first payment can sometimes take a bit longer as they're establishing your claim in the system.

Thanks! Do holidays affect the timeline too? There's one coming up next week and I'm worried it might delay things.

mine always comes 3 days after i file, like clockwork. as long as u dont have any problems with ur claim

That's reassuring! My claim status shows 'processed' so I think it's okay. No issues flagged at least.

I filed last Tuesday morning and got mine Thursday afternoon. First time it took longer tho, like 5 days.

JUST SO YOU KNOW the TWC system is SUPER SLOW right now!! I filed last week and it took SIX DAYS to hit my ReliaCard!!! They keep saying its "normal processing time" but it NEVER took this long before. I had to call them THREE TIMES to figure out what was happening with my money!!!

Six days?? That's not good... I can't wait that long. Did they explain why it's taking longer now?

They gave me some BS about "high volume" and "system maintenance" but I think they're just trying to hold onto our money as long as possible!! My friend filed the same day and got hers in 2 days so it makes NO SENSE!!!

I was having similar issues getting my payment a few weeks ago and spending hours trying to call TWC with no luck. I tried this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) and they got me connected to a TWC agent in about 10 minutes. The agent told me my payment was delayed because of a work search verification, but they fixed it right away. You can see how it works in this video: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh - might save you some stress if you need to check on your payment status.

does that thing really work? i spent 3 hrs on hold last month

Yeah, it actually does. I was skeptical but I had already wasted two days trying to get through on my own. Got me to a real person who could actually check my claim status and explain the delay.

ReliaCard deposits happen by 9am usually. So if you don't see it the first morning, you'll have to wait another day. Don't be like me checking every hour lol. Also, if this is your VERY first payment ever, sometimes they'll mail you a paper check instead of using the ReliaCard, happened to me and I was confused for days waiting for a card deposit that never came. Then randomly got mail with a check.

I already have my ReliaCard from a previous claim last year, so hopefully it goes straight to that. Good tip about the 9am deposit time though!

The timing for ReliaCard deposits follows TWC's payment processing schedule. When you file early in the morning (before 8am) like you did, that's optimal timing. Here's what typically happens: 1. Payment request processing: 1-2 business days 2. Bank transfer to ReliaCard: 1 additional business day 3. Funds available: Usually by 9am on the deposit day So realistically, you're looking at 2-3 business days total. If you filed today and there are no issues with your claim, you should see funds available by Thursday morning, possibly Wednesday if you're lucky. Holidays will add an extra day, and keep in mind that if there are any flags on your account (work search documentation needed, earnings verification, etc.), that can add additional processing time.

This is super helpful, thank you! My online account shows 'payment processed' status, so hopefully that means there aren't any flags. I'll plan for Thursday then, fingers crossed!

My brother files at like 2am every other Sunday and swears it makes his payment come faster lol. Probably just coincidence but who knows with these government systems 🤷‍♀️

lol my cousin says the same thing! he files at midnight on sunday like its gonna magically make the money come faster

Just to follow up on the holiday question - yes, federal holidays will delay processing by one business day. The upcoming holiday will only affect you if your payment would normally fall on that day. Also, seeing 'payment processed' status is a great sign! That typically means the payment has been approved and is in the queue for deposit. You should definitely see it within the next 2-3 business days.

That's a relief! I'll keep an eye on my ReliaCard account then. Thanks everyone for the help!

I've been filing TWC payments for about 8 months now and the timing is pretty consistent. Since you filed at 7am this morning, that's actually perfect timing - right when their system processes the overnight queue. In my experience, if you file before 8am on a weekday, you're usually looking at 2-3 business days max. The ReliaCard deposits typically hit between 6-9am when they do come through. Since today is a weekday, I'd expect yours by Wednesday or Thursday morning. Just make sure to check your TWC account online to confirm the payment status shows as "processed" - that's usually a good indicator everything went through smoothly.

That's really helpful to know about the 7am timing being optimal! I did check my account and it shows "processed" so that's encouraging. Quick question - do you know if there's any difference in processing speed between different days of the week? Like if I had filed on a Friday morning versus today, would that affect when the deposit hits?

I've been dealing with TWC payments for about a year now and can share some insight on timing. Since you filed at 7am this morning, that's actually great timing - you caught the system right at the start of their daily processing cycle. From my experience, payments filed before 8am on weekdays typically process faster than those filed later in the day. You should definitely see your deposit by Thursday morning, possibly Wednesday if everything goes smoothly. The fact that your status shows "processed" is a really good sign - that means no red flags or additional verification needed. Just keep in mind that the first payment on a new claim can sometimes take an extra day or two, but since you mentioned this is a payment request (not your very first claim), you should be on the standard timeline. ReliaCard deposits usually hit between 6-9am when they do come through, so check first thing in the morning rather than throughout the day.

This is really reassuring, thank you! I'm glad the 7am timing worked in my favor. Since my status shows "processed" and this isn't my very first claim, it sounds like I should expect the deposit by Thursday morning at the latest. I'll make sure to check early in the morning around 6-9am like you suggested instead of constantly refreshing throughout the day. Really appreciate everyone's help - this community has been so helpful for navigating the TWC system!

I've been filing TWC for over a year now and wanted to add that the early morning filing strategy really does seem to help! Filing at 7am like you did puts you ahead of the daily rush of people filing later in the morning. One thing I learned the hard way - if you're cutting it close with bills, you can also check your ReliaCard balance through their mobile app or by calling the number on the back of your card. Sometimes the deposit shows up there a few hours before it's fully available for spending. Since your claim shows "processed" status, you're in good shape. Just don't panic if it doesn't hit Wednesday morning - Thursday is still well within the normal timeframe, especially if there's any system maintenance happening behind the scenes.

That's a great tip about checking the ReliaCard app! I didn't know the deposit might show up there before it's available to spend. I'll definitely download the app and keep an eye on it starting Wednesday morning. It's reassuring to hear from someone who's been through this process so many times - makes me feel much more confident about the timing. I'm trying not to stress too much since everyone seems to agree that 2-3 business days is the normal timeframe and my status looks good. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Just wanted to chime in since I've been dealing with TWC payments for about 6 months now. Filing at 7am was definitely smart - you beat the morning rush and got into their system early. From what I've seen, the 2-3 business day timeline is pretty accurate when your status shows "processed" like yours does. One thing that might help ease your mind about the bills - you can set up balance alerts through the ReliaCard app so you'll get notified the moment your deposit hits, usually between 6-9am. That way you're not constantly checking and stressing. Since today is Tuesday and you filed early morning, I'd expect to see it by Thursday morning at the latest, possibly Wednesday if the stars align. The system has been pretty consistent lately despite what some folks are saying about delays.

That's really smart about setting up the balance alerts! I had no idea that was an option. I'm definitely going to do that right now so I can stop obsessively checking my account every few hours. It's such a relief to hear from so many people that the 2-3 day timeline is reliable when the status shows "processed." I was getting worried after reading about some of the longer delays, but it sounds like those might be outliers. Thanks for the practical tip about the notifications - that's going to save me a lot of anxiety over the next couple days!

I've been filing TWC payments for about 8 months and your 7am filing time is perfect! That puts you right at the front of their daily processing queue. Since your status shows "processed," you should definitely see the deposit by Wednesday or Thursday morning. One tip - download the ReliaCard mobile app if you haven't already. The deposit usually shows up there first, sometimes even before 6am, and you can set up push notifications so you'll know the moment it hits. This takes away all the guesswork and constant checking. Given that it's Tuesday and you filed early morning with a clean processed status, I'd bet on Wednesday or Thursday morning at the latest. The system has been pretty reliable lately for most people despite some of the horror stories you might read.

This is exactly what I needed to hear! I just downloaded the ReliaCard app and set up the push notifications like you suggested. It's so reassuring to know that filing at 7am puts me at the front of the queue - I was worried I should have filed even earlier. Since my status shows "processed" and everyone seems to agree Wednesday/Thursday is realistic, I'm feeling much more confident about making my bill payments on time. Thanks for the tip about deposits sometimes showing up before 6am in the app - that's going to be really helpful for planning!
