PA UC payment date was yesterday - how long until Money Network card deposit arrives with Chime?
Finally got my PA unemployment claim approved after weeks of waiting! The payment date on my portal shows yesterday, but nothing's hit my Chime account yet. This is my first time getting UC benefits and I'm wondering how long the transfer typically takes? Has anyone used Chime with their PA benefits? I'm trying to pay rent this weekend and getting nervous about the timing. Thanks!

Congrats on finally getting approved! With PA UC, the payment date is when they process it, not when it hits your account. Using Money Network card to Chime transfer usually takes 2-3 business days from that processing date. So if your payment date was yesterday, you're looking at probably tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

•Thank you! That helps a lot. Do weekends count as business days or should I just expect Monday?

mine always takes EXACTLY 2 days to hit my bank from money network. always.

•Same! Like clockwork for me too. Although I had one payment that took 3 days around July 4th weekend last year. Probably because of the holiday.

I've been on PA unemployment since January and use Chime too!!! My payments NEVER come when the portal says lol!! It's so stressful! Sometimes its the next day sometimes its like 3 days later!! I think it depends on what time of day they process it and when the banks do their thing. I hate not knowing exactly when money will show up dont they realize we have bills due???

•You're right that timing matters. PA UC batch processes payments, and if yours gets processed after the daily cutoff, it adds an extra day. Direct deposits made after 5pm typically won't start processing until the next business day.

For PA UC benefits, there's a specific flow to payments: 1. Payment date = when UC processes the payment 2. Money Network card receives funds 1 business day later 3. Transfer to external bank (like Chime) takes 1-2 additional business days So you're looking at 2-3 business days total from payment date. Weekends don't count as business days. Since your payment date was yesterday, expect it Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

•This is super helpful, thank you for breaking it down. I'll plan for Monday then and stop refreshing my Chime app every 20 minutes!

If you need to reach someone at PA UC to confirm exactly when your payment will arrive, I highly recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). Saved me hours of frustration trying to get through on the phone lines. They have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Got me connected to a live agent in about 20 minutes when I had a similar issue with my first payment not showing up when expected.

•Yes, it really does. I was skeptical too, but it connected me when I'd been trying for days on my own. The agent was able to tell me exactly when my payment would hit my account.

This happened to me last month. Payment date was Tuesday and money hit my Chime Thursday morning. I think they do batch processing so what day of the week matters too. Not all payment processors work on weekends.

wait I just realized something - are you talking about a DIRECT deposit to Chime or are you transferring from the Money Network card TO Chime?? Cause those are different things with different timelines!!!

•Oh, I'm actually not sure! This is my first payment. They asked for bank info when I applied, but then sent me a Money Network card in the mail too. I assumed it would go straight to my Chime account?

•PA UC typically sends first payments to the Money Network card even if you provided direct deposit info. After that, future payments should go to your direct deposit. You'll need to check your Money Network card balance (either by calling the number on the card or setting up online access) to see if the payment is there waiting for you to transfer to Chime.

Update for anyone who finds this thread later: The money just hit my Money Network card today! Now I need to transfer it to my Chime account. Thanks everyone for your help!

•Great! For future reference, you can set up direct deposit to Chime for subsequent payments so you don't have to do the manual transfer. Just make sure your direct deposit info is correct in your PA UC account.
