PA UC payment approved but Chime direct deposit timing - when will it hit my account?
Just got an update on my PA unemployment claim after waiting forever! It finally shows as approved and eligible after more than a month of waiting. The portal shows 3 weeks of back payments were approved with a payment date of June 3rd (yesterday). I have Chime set up as my direct deposit method, but nothing has hit my account yet. Does anyone know if there's usually a delay between the payment date in the UC system and when it actually posts to Chime? I'm stressing because I have bills due tomorrow that I've been holding off on. Is it normal for it to take an extra day or two after the payment date shows in the system?

•Thanks for responding! It's almost 6pm now and still nothing in my account. I triple-checked my banking info on the portal and it's definitely correct. Should I be worried or just wait until tomorrow? Do payments ever come through in the evening?

My husband's UC always hits our bank account 1-2 days AFTER the date shown in the system. It's normal! Don't panic yet!!

•Same here!! The system date is always earlier than when I actually get paid. I think they process it on that date but then it has to go through the banking system. Chime is usually pretty fast with deposits though.

The payment date in the PA UC system is when they process and release the payment, not necessarily when it will arrive in your bank account. With Chime specifically, most people report receiving their unemployment funds 24-48 hours after the payment date shown in the system. This timing can vary depending on: 1. When the batch of payments was sent (morning vs. evening) 2. Whether it's a first payment or recurring payment (first payments can take longer) 3. Banking holidays or weekends If you don't see the deposit by the end of tomorrow, check that your banking information is correct in the system. You can verify this under the "Payment Information" section of your UC account.

•Thank you for the detailed explanation! That makes me feel better. It is my first payment so maybe that's why it's taking longer. I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon before I start worrying too much.

In my experience, there's always a gap between the UC system payment date and when funds actually hit your bank. With Chime specifically, I usually see funds 1-2 business days after the system payment date. Since June 3rd was yesterday, I'd expect the deposit today or tomorrow at the latest. One thing to note - if this is your first payment, it might take an extra day as the system verifies your banking details for the first time. If you don't see anything by Friday morning, that's when I'd recommend calling UC to check on the status. If you need to reach a PA UC representative and can't get through (which is common), check out Claimyr (claimyr.com). They helped me get through when I had a similar issue with delayed payments. There's a video demo of how it works here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. They got me connected to an actual UC agent in about 30 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own.

•DONT USE CLAIMYR!!!! They charge you money just to do the same thing you can do yourself for FREE!!! Just keep calling the PA UC number and eventually you'll get through. Why pay some company to call for you?

Has anyone noticed that the PA UC payment system seems slower this week? I think they might be doing updates or something. My payment was 2 days later than usual this week too.

•Yes!! I thought it was just me! My regular deposit is always on Tuesday but it didn't hit until Thursday this week. Called about it and was told there were "system maintenance issues" whatever that means 🙄

Did it finally come through? Mine just hit my account this morning even though the payment date was 2 days ago!

•YES!! Just checked and it came through about an hour ago! All 3 weeks of payments at once - such a relief! Thanks everyone for the reassurance that this was normal. I was stressing out for nothing!

Glad to hear your payment came through! For future reference, here's what the typical PA UC payment timeline looks like: 1. Payment date in system: This is when UC processes the payment 2. ACH transfer: 1-2 business days for most banks 3. Bank processing: 0-1 additional days depending on your bank Chime is generally faster than traditional banks, so going forward, you can usually expect to see deposits 1-2 days after the payment date shows in the system. First payments often take the longest, so future payments should be more predictable. Make sure you continue filing your weekly claims on time (Sunday through Friday of the claim week) to keep payments coming consistently.

•Thank you so much for explaining the timeline! I'll make sure to file every week on the same day to keep things consistent. Really appreciate everyone's help here!
