PA UC Money Network card funds transferred to Chime - how long until deposit arrives?
Finally got my PA unemployment payment released after 6 weeks of waiting! Treasury told me my benefits were loaded onto a Money Network card, but I never received one in the mail. I found the option to transfer the funds ($842) to my Chime account through the Money Network portal. Has anyone done this before? How long should it take for the money to show up in my Chime? Getting desperate here as rent is due Monday and I've been living on ramen for way too long. First time dealing with this Money Network transfer situation and really need this to go through quickly!

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me in January! The funds should show up in your Chime account within 2-3 business days. Mine took about 48 hours. Just dont try transferring again or it might cause problems with the system.

•Thanks! Did you have to do anything special for the transfer? I'm worried because I didn't get a confirmation email or anything after I set up the transfer.

The Money Network to Chime transfer typically takes 1-3 business days. If you initiated it on a Friday, it probably won't hit until Tuesday or Wednesday. One important note - make sure your Chime account information was entered correctly. If there were any errors in the account/routing numbers, it could cause delays or the transfer might be rejected and returned to the Money Network card account.

I HATE the Money Network cards!!! They never send them on time and their customer service is worse than PA UC (if thats even possible). I waited FIVE WEEKS for my card to arrive only to find out they sent it to my old address. Then when I finally got it, half my money was gone in fees!!!

•Oh no, that's awful! Did you get any of those fees back? I'm hoping I won't get charged fees for transferring to my Chime.

•Nope! They claimed the fees were "in the terms and conditions" that i never received because THE CARD NEVER CAME! So frustrating. But transfer to Chime should be ok. Just watch for any unexpected fees.

Have you tried checking your transfer status on the Money Network portal? Sometimes they have a tracking feature that shows where your money is in the transfer process. If it's been more than 3 business days, you might want to contact Money Network's customer service. I know it's a pain to reach them, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers about transfers.

•I didn't see any tracking feature in the portal, but I'll look again. It's only been 1 day so far, so maybe I just need to be patient. Their customer service line had a 2-hour wait time when I tried earlier today.

when i transfered from money network to my bank it took 2 days exactly. chime is usually faster than regular banks for deposits so should be quick. did u remember to verify the account first?

•Yes, I verified the account by entering the two small test deposits they sent. That part went smoothly, thankfully!

I was having a similar issue getting through to PA unemployment last month when my Money Network card wasn't working. After countless busy signals, I tried a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to an actual PA UC agent in about 25 minutes instead of spending days trying to call. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. The agent was able to help me resolve my card issues and explain the transfer process. Might be worth trying if you can't get confirmation about your transfer status.

•Thanks for the tip! If my money doesn't show up by Wednesday, I'll definitely check out that service. Anything to avoid spending hours getting disconnected from the UC phone lines.

•does that actually work? i thought those services were scams lol

•It definitely worked for me. I was skeptical too, but I was desperate after trying to call for 3 days straight. Got through to an actual person who fixed my issue. Way better than waiting on hold forever.

Just to add some important information: If this is your first transfer from Money Network to Chime, there might be an additional verification period. For security reasons, some financial institutions put a brief hold on first-time transfers between accounts. Also, if you initiated the transfer after 3PM on a business day, it counts as being processed the next business day. Weekends and holidays don't count as business days for these transfers.

•That makes sense! I did initiate it late yesterday afternoon, so maybe that's why I haven't seen it yet. I'll give it until Wednesday before I start to worry.

•YES! Just got the deposit this morning! Took exactly 2 business days as many of you said. Such a relief to finally have access to these funds. Thanks everyone for your help and advice!

•That's awesome news! So glad it worked out for you. I'm dealing with a similar situation right now - my Money Network card never arrived either and I'm trying to figure out the transfer process. Did you have to provide any additional verification beyond the small test deposits, or was it pretty straightforward once you got to the portal?

•@Javier Gomez It was pretty straightforward once I found the transfer option in the portal! Just had to enter my Chime routing and account number, then they sent the two small verification deposits like (12 cents and 34 cents which) took about a day. Once I entered those amounts back in the portal, I could do the full transfer. No other verification needed. The hardest part was actually finding the transfer option - it s'buried in the menu under Move "Money or" something like that. Good luck with yours!

•@Javier Gomez Just wanted to add - make sure you double check your account and routing numbers before submitting! I was so stressed about getting it wrong that I verified them like 3 times with my Chime app. Also, don t'panic if you don t'get a confirmation email right away - I didn t'get one either but the transfer still went through perfectly. The Money Network portal should show your transfer status once it s'processing.

•@Javier Gomez I just went through this exact same process last week! One tip that helped me - if you re'having trouble finding the transfer option in the Money Network portal, try logging out and back in. Sometimes the menu doesn t'load properly. Also, when you do the verification deposits, they usually show up in Chime pretty quickly mine (were there the next morning .)Just make sure to write down the exact amounts because you only get a few tries to enter them correctly. The whole process was way less painful than I expected after reading horror stories online!

•@Javier Gomez Happy to help! I actually had the same worry about getting the account info wrong. What I did was screenshot my Chime account details from the app and then typed them super carefully. The verification process with the micro deposits was honestly the most nerve-wracking part because I kept second-guessing the amounts, but once that was done it was smooth sailing. One thing I wish someone had told me - don t'refresh the Money Network page too much while waiting for status updates, it seemed to make the site glitchy. Just check once a day and be patient. You ve'got this!

•@Javier Gomez One more tip from someone who just went through this - if you have the Money Network customer service number handy, save it in your phone before you start the transfer process. I didn t'need to call them thankfully, but I felt better knowing I had it just in case something went wrong. Also, Chime usually sends a push notification when deposits hit your account, so keep an eye on your phone. The relief when that notification came through was incredible! The whole PA UC system is such a mess, but at least the Money Network transfer part worked smoothly once I figured it out.

•@Javier Gomez Just wanted to chime in no (pun intended! -) I m'currently waiting for my Money Network transfer to Chime too after reading this thread. Dana s'success story gave me hope! One thing I learned from calling Money Network directly is that they actually have a text notification service where they ll'send you updates on your transfer status. You have to opt-in by texting a code to their number, but it beats constantly checking the portal. Might be worth looking into if you re'as anxious about it as I am! Fingers crossed both our transfers go smoothly.
