PA UC IDme verification page stuck spinning - anyone else having issues today?
Been trying to file my biweekly PA UC claim since 8am this morning, but I keep getting stuck at the IDme verification page. The circle just spins forever and nothing happens! I've tried 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and even Edge) and restarted my computer twice. Is this happening to anyone else today or is it just my terrible internet? Getting really stressed because I don't want to miss my filing window and risk losing benefits this week. Any suggestions on how to get past this?

•Ugh, that makes me feel a little better that it's not just me. Do you know if there's a number we can call to report the issue?

I had this happen last month. The IDme verification system sometimes gets overloaded on Mondays when everyone's filing their weekly claims. Try these steps: 1) Clear your browser cache completely 2) Use private/incognito mode 3) Wait until later tonight (after 9pm) when fewer people are on the system 4) If still stuck tomorrow, you'll need to call UC directly to report the technical issue so they don't penalize you for filing late.

•Thank you! I'll try clearing my cache first. Really hoping it works because I've got bills due this Friday.

•OF COURSE they didn't finish on time. They never do. And they never bother to update the website to tell us either!!

I experienced this exact same issue this morning. After struggling for over an hour, I finally got through by using my phone instead of my computer - for some reason the mobile browser worked when desktop browsers were failing. If you have a smartphone, try filing that way. If that doesn't work, you really need to speak with a PA UC agent directly to get it resolved and make sure your claim doesn't get flagged for late filing.

•Great idea! I didn't even think about trying my phone. Going to try that right now.

This is a known issue with the IDme verification system that happens periodically. Some important points to know: 1. You have until Friday of this week to file your biweekly claim without it being considered late 2. If you keep having problems, document your attempts (screenshots showing the spinning wheel) 3. If you can't file by Friday, you'll need to speak with a UC representative directly The PA UC phone system is notoriously difficult to get through, but a service called Claimyr can actually help you bypass the phone queue. I used it when I had a similar issue and got through to a rep in about 20 minutes instead of spending days calling. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

•Oh thank goodness I have until Friday! That takes some pressure off. I didn't realize there was a service that could help get through to a representative. I'll check out that video - it might be worth it if I still can't get through tomorrow. Thanks for the detailed info!

•is that claimyr thing legit? sounds sketchy to pay someone just to make a phone call but i've literally spent HOURS trying to get through to unemployment

•Yes, it's legitimate. They use a system that continuously redials the UC office for you and then connects you when they get through. Saved me tons of time and frustration when I had an open issue that was preventing payments for weeks. Just one suggestion if none of the other troubleshooting works.

UPDATE: Mobile trick worked!! After trying my phone like @profile3 suggested, I was able to get through the IDme verification and complete my weekly claim filing. The page loaded much faster on my phone for some reason. Thanks everyone for your help!

•Great news! Definitely remember this trick for future filings. The mobile site seems to use fewer resources and handle the authentication process better. Glad you got it sorted out!

Literally just had this same problem but with my benefit year ending renewal. The IDme verification was stuck spinning for over an hour this morning. I got so stressed because my last payment is this week and if I don't get the new benefit year approved I'll have no income. This system is so broken it's ridiculous.

•benefit year renewals are even worse than regular claims!! took them 8 WEEKS to process mine last year and i had to live off credit cards. make sure you start calling them everyday until it's fixed.
