PA Money Network card access down? Can't log in to check UC benefits today
Has anyone else not been able to access their Money Network account today? I've been trying since 7 AM to check my PA unemployment payment but keep getting an error message. Tried on my phone and laptop, cleared cookies, restarted everything - still nothing! Just shows 'temporarily unavailable' or sometimes just times out completely. Really stressing because my rent is due tomorrow and I need to make sure my UC payment hit my card! Anyone know if there's an official outage or when it might be back up?

•Thanks for confirming it's not just me! Did you get any info at all before hanging up? I'm worried because I have autopay set up for some bills.

This happens every few months with Money Network. Their system usually goes down for maintenance but they rarely notify anyone ahead of time. Last time this happened in March 2025, it was back up by late afternoon. Your payment should still process normally even if you can't see it online - the system being down just affects the website/app access, not the actual payment processing.

I called PA UC directly about this last time it happened. Money Network does maintenance updates on their system regularly, but yes they SHOULD give us warning! If you're really worried about your payment, you can call PA UC directly to confirm if your weekly claim was processed and payment was sent to Money Network. I spent 3 days trying to get through to someone at UC when this happened to me. Finally used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to an agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 The UC rep confirmed my payment was already in the Money Network system even though I couldn't access the site. Money Network was back up a few hours later.

•Is that Claimyr thing legit? I've seen it mentioned before but was suspicious since the regular UC number NEVER answers. How does it actually work? Seems too good to be true with how impossible it is to reach anyone at UC these days.

•Yeah it's legit. What they do is basically keep dialing for you using their system, and then when they get through, they connect the call to your phone. Saved me hours of redialing. The video on their site shows exactly how it works.

Money Network is experiencing a system-wide outage today. I just got off the phone with PA UC after waiting for over an hour. They confirmed it's affecting all unemployment debit card holders in Pennsylvania and possibly other states as well. According to the representative, payments are still being processed on schedule - it's just the cardholder portal that's down. They expect the system to be back online by end of day, but if you need to check your balance urgently, you can: 1. Call Money Network directly at 888-233-5916 and use the automated system 2. Try checking at an ATM (though there's a fee for balance inquiries at most ATMs) 3. If you've set up the Money Network mobile app previously, some users report the app is working intermittently even when the website is down Hope this helps!

•Sometimes it takes a while to fully come back online for all users. Try clearing your browser cache completely or using incognito mode. If you're on the app, force stop it and restart your phone.

UPDATE: For anyone finding this thread later - the system came back online around 4:30 PM. Looks like all scheduled payments processed normally during the outage. I called Money Network customer service and they said it was scheduled maintenance that took longer than expected, but they admitted they should have notified cardholders in advance. They suggested signing up for text alerts for future maintenance notices.

•Thanks for the update! This is good information. Just for future reference for everyone - this type of situation is exactly why it's always good to have a backup payment method if possible, even if it's just a small emergency fund in a separate account. The Money Network cards have had several outages in 2025 alone.

This happened to me last month when I was trying to buy groceries! Card got declined at the register and I couldn't check my balance. So embarrassing! Had to put everything back and come home to find out the system was just down for maintenance. They really need to warn us before doing these updates. BTW has anyone had problems with the Money Network ATMs at Sheetz? Last two times I tried, they were out of cash!

This is exactly why I always keep a small amount of cash on me now after going through this nightmare multiple times! The Money Network outages are getting ridiculous - it's like they don't understand people depend on this money for basic necessities like rent and groceries. I've started taking screenshots of my balance when the system IS working so I at least know roughly how much I have during outages. Also pro tip - if you have a credit union nearby, some of them let you withdraw cash from your unemployment card without fees at their ATMs, which can be super helpful during these situations.
