NY unemployment claim disappeared after certifying on Sunday - payment missing

I certified for my NY unemployment benefits this past Sunday like normal, but my payment never showed up. When I logged in today to check the status, my entire claim seems to have disappeared from my account! There's no record of my certification or anything. Has this happened to anyone else recently? I'm freaking out because I really need this money for rent next week. I tried calling the NYSDOL but of course can't get through to an actual person. 😩😩

This happened to several people in early 2025. It's usually a system update or maintenance issue. Check these things: 1. Try logging in during off-peak hours (early morning) 2. Clear your browser cache and cookies 3. Try a different browser entirely Most of the time, the claim reappears within 48 hours after system maintenance completes. If it doesn't come back by Thursday, then you should definitely contact them.

I HATE when this happens!!!! The exact same thing happened to me in February and it took TEN DAYS to fix!!! The system is BROKEN and nobody at unemployment cares about us. My claim vanished after certifying and then I got an "unresolved issues" message when it finally reappeared. Had to start all over with ID verification! RIDICULOUS!

maybe u entered something wrong when u certified? once i accidentally put i was unavailable for work when i meant to say i was available & my payment didnt process

I've seen this issue a few times this year. It's almost always one of two things: 1. System maintenance (as mentioned above) 2. A flag on your account that triggered a review If it's maintenance, it will resolve itself. If it's a flag, you need to speak with a claims specialist. The problem is getting through to someone who can actually help. I finally got through to a real person using Claimyr.com - they connected me to an agent in about 20 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own. did u check if theres any messages in ur inbox on the unemployment site? sometimes they send u a message asking for more info but dont email u about it

I work in IT (not for unemployment lol) and this sounds like a database sync issue to me. Their systems probably have temporary problems connecting to your account data. I'd give it 24-48 hours before panicking.

UPDATE: My claim is back! It suddenly reappeared this morning. Looks like it was just system maintenance after all. Payment is pending and should arrive tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions!
