My NY unemployment claim vanished after filing - weekly certification gone!

The only solution is calling them and having them manually restore your claim status. Unfortunately email doesn't work for this - they need to fix it while you're on the phone.

I swear the ny unemployment website is held together with bubble gum and paper clips. This happened to me in September - keep calling and check your email constantly. Sometimes they'll send an email saying you need to verify something but the email goes to spam.

Check your spam folder for emails from them! Sometimes they send a notice saying your claim needs verification but it goes to spam. happened to my brother.

Sometimes its a sign ur account got hacked. My cousins claim disappeared and it turned out someone had accessed her account and changed the bank info. CALL THEM IMMEDIATELY if thats the case!!!

Might be a dumb question but did you try clearing your cache and cookies? Sometimes the NY unemployment site does weird things with browser data and clearing it fixes display issues.

Did you recertify for the quarter? Sometimes they require quarterly certification and if you miss it your payments stop showing up. Check if you got an email about it.

You might be dealing with the famous "phantom claim" bug. The system sometimes shows no claim when theres actually an identity verification hold. You need to talk to someone to fix it. A friend of mine had success using claimyr.com to get through when he couldnt reach anyone.

try logging in at weird hours like really early morning (5am) or late at night. sometimes the system shows different info depending on when their servers are doing updates

have you checked if theres a message in your online inbox on the unemployment site? sometimes they send messages there but dont email you about them

call your state representatives office!! they have special contacts at unemployment and can usually get things moving faster. worked for me when my claim was stuck for a month.

This is an issue their IT team supposedly fixed last month but clearly didn't. I bet if you call them (good luck with that lol) they'll tell you you need to resubmit your certification. Total nightmare.

whatever you do DO NOT try to file a new claim!! if your existing claim disappeared and you file a new one it creates a whole mess that takes months to untangle. call them first!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of NY unemployment where nothing makes sense and the rules are made up 😅 Seriously though, your claim is probably still there in their system but just not visible to you. You need to call them.
