Are unemployment payments delayed this week - NYS Department of Labor processing issues?

I usually get my unemployment payment deposited on Tuesday but it's Thursday and still nothing in my account. My weekly claim went through fine on Sunday and shows as processed on my.ny.gov but no payment yet. Anyone else experiencing delays with their NYS Department of Labor payments this week? I'm getting worried something went wrong with my claim.

Glad I'm not the only one but this is terrible timing. Did you check if your claim status changed at all?

There could be several reasons for payment delays. First, check your payment history on the my.ny.gov portal to see if the payment shows as 'released' or still 'pending.' Sometimes NYS Department of Labor has processing delays during holiday weeks or system maintenance. Also verify that your direct deposit information hasn't changed and that your weekly claim didn't trigger any issues that need review.

Payment history just shows 'processed' for this week but no release date. Last week it showed released on Tuesday morning.

If you need to speak with someone at NYS Department of Labor about payment delays, I had luck using claimyr.com recently. They actually got me through to an agent in like 10 minutes instead of waiting on hold forever. There's a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Saved me hours of calling and getting disconnected.

THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! NYS Department of Labor is a joke, they delay payments randomly and never explain why. I've been dealing with this garbage for months.

Same! Last month my payment was 3 days late for no reason at all.

Check if there's a bank holiday affecting ACH transfers. Sometimes the delay is on the banking side, not NYS Department of Labor. But if multiple people are experiencing this, it's likely a processing issue.

Good point about bank holidays. I'll call my bank too just to be sure.

I'm having the same issue! Filed my weekly claim on Sunday as usual and it shows processed, but no payment yet. This is really concerning since I depend on these payments. Has anyone tried calling the DOL directly about this? I'm wondering if there's a systematic delay affecting multiple people or if we need to take individual action. Really hoping this gets resolved soon.

I tried calling the DOL this morning and got the usual busy signal after waiting 2 hours. It's definitely looking like a systematic issue since so many of us are experiencing the same delay. Maybe we should all try calling together to put pressure on them to fix whatever processing problem they're having. This is really unacceptable when people depend on these payments for basic expenses.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue - filed my weekly claim on Sunday and it shows as processed on my.ny.gov but still no payment deposited. Usually gets deposited by Wednesday at the latest. This seems to be affecting multiple people so I'm hoping it's just a temporary processing delay on DOL's end. I'll keep checking my account and the portal for updates. Thanks for posting this - at least we know we're not alone in dealing with this delay.

Same situation here! Filed Sunday, shows processed but no deposit yet. I'm in the same boat as everyone else - this is definitely a widespread issue with DOL processing. Has anyone checked if there are any official announcements from NYS about system maintenance or delays? I'm going to keep monitoring my account and maybe try that claimyr service someone mentioned earlier if this doesn't resolve by tomorrow. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experience so we know it's not just individual account issues.
