Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Honestly the fastest way to resolve this is to physically go to a NY Dept of Labor office in person if possible. They can pull up your claim and often fix issues on the spot. Bring ID and all ur claim info.
most offices aren't taking walk-ins anymore tho, you need an appointment and those are booked like 3 months out 🙄
Some still do walk-ins but you gotta get there before they open and be prepared to wait all day. Worth it tho if ur desperate
I think there's a fraud alert on ur account. Same thing happened to me - no letter, long wait, then suddenly BYE date updated. When I finally got through to someone they said there was a fraud flag on my account that needed manual review. They removed it and I got paid that week.
How did you get through to someone to check this? I've been trying to call for weeks.

If u live near a career center, go in person. The one in Buffalo helped me when nobody would answer my calls. Bring ID and all your paperwork. The wait might be long but at least u talk to someone.

If you still get paper mail from them, the 1099G should arrive soon. But honestly, the online version is available sooner. I'd check there first. Just login and look under tax documents.

here's a weird tip but it worked for me - try using Microsoft Edge browser instead of Chrome or Safari. something about the ID.me system works better with Edge for some reason 🤷♀️
If nothing else works, contact your state representative or senator's office! I was stuck in ID.me hell for THREE MONTHS until I contacted my state senator. Their office has special contacts at unemployment and fixed my issue in 48 hours. No joke.

Google "who is my NYS senator" or "who is my NYS assembly member" - there are lookup tools where you enter your address. Their offices literally have staff dedicated to unemployment issues now!

Anyone telling you to wait until June is only partially right. There ARE sometimes exceptions but you NEED to talk to a tier 2 agent (not just the first person who answers). I was in a similar situation and got an extension due to hardship but only after speaking to a supervisor.
