If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If u have a state representative or assemblyperson, sometimes their offices can help speed things up if you don't get your letter in a reasonable time. They have special contacts at unemployment that regular ppl don't have access to. Worked for me last year when I was in limbo for 2 months.

This is going to sound weird but try calling RIGHT when they open and press the Spanish option. The Spanish-speaking agents all speak English too and the wait time is usually WAY shorter. Got through in 15 mins this way after trying the English line for weeks.

Can confirm this works but don't tell everyone or they'll catch on and it'll stop working lol 🤫

If ur getting the "exhausted benefits" message but haven't been paid, it means theres an issue with your BYE date (Benefit Year End). The system thinks your claim is older than it is. You need to talk to someone in the claims processing dept specifically, not just any agent.

They dont really have public offices anymore where u can just walk in. everything is phone or online now. its stupid.

I tried going to a NYS career center but they told me they can't help with unemployment accounts directly. Complete waste of time.

Make sure you get identity theft protection ASAP! These scammers usually don't stop at just unemployment - they'll try to open credit cards, loans, everything. I recommend LifeLock or similar service. I learned this the hard way after my unemployment was hacked and then suddenly I had 3 new credit cards opened in my name the next month.

Should I certify for the final week of NY unemployment (Sept 5-11) as PEUC/EB programs expire?

So im getting these messages about my unemployment benefits ending and im super confused. Got a notification saying that if im still out of work, the last week to certify for benefits through these programs is September 5, 2021 through September 11, 2021. Does this mean I should certify for this week even though the program is ending? I havent found work yet and really need that last payment. The message specifically says "Our records indicate that you are currently receiving or eligible for PEUC or EB benefits. If you are still out of work, the last week to certify for full or partial benefits through these programs is September 5, 2021 through September 11, 2021." The message also says something about needing to have worked and earned enough wages in covered employment to be eligible for a new claim. The exact wording is "To be eligible for a new unemployment insurance (UI) claim, you must have worked and earned enough wages in covered employment (generally employment where a W-2 should be issued)." I honestly don't understand what this means. Can I reapply after my current benefit year ends? There's mention of a Benefit Year Ending (BYE) date in my payment history, and the notification confirms "You may reapply for UI benefits when you reach the end of your current benefit year. You can find your Benefit Year Ending date (BYE date) in your online Payment History." The notification also mentions "For a limited period of time, NYS DOL will still review eligibility for federal benefits for weeks of unemployment on or before September 5, 2021 once these programs expire." Just looking for clarity - do I certify one more week or not? Anyone in the same boat? This is from NYS DOL (New York State Department of Labor), if that helps.

That stupid message confused me too! Yes, you should certify for that final week if you're still unemployed during Dec 12-18. That's literally what they mean by "last week to certify" - it's the final week the program exists.

Wow the timing of this post is crazy, I just dealt with this exact issue yesterday. Yes, certify for the final week. That's what they're telling you - that you have one last week to claim benefits before the program ends completely. After that, you'd need to qualify for regular UI which has different eligibility requirements.

Thanks! Did you have any problems certifying for that last week or did it work as normal?

Worked just like normal! The system let me certify without any issues. Payment should come through on the usual schedule.

So I've been dealing with unemployment systems across multiple states for my job (HR consultant). NY is by far the worst implementation of ID.me I've seen. Here's what's actually happening: the identity verification process in ID.me works, but the handshake back to NYSDOL fails because their systems don't properly capture the verification token. It's a technical issue they're aware of but haven't prioritized fixing.

That makes so much sense. Is there any way to force the handshake to work? Or is it just luck?

Mostly luck with the website. Your best bet is honestly to talk to a rep who can manually verify and override the system. That's what I tell all my clients to do.

dont waste ur time with the website tbh. its been broken for months. just call them directly and file by phone. i know the hold times are ridiculous but use claimyr.com to handle the waiting for you. i did this after wasting 2 weeks on the website nightmare.
