If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

This is why i dont even file for unemployment anymore even when I'm eligible. The system is so broken it's not worth the hassle. My identity was stolen 2 years ago and I'm STILL dealing with the aftermath. Good luck OP, ur gonna need it

Check if the scammer changed your address with USPS too! This happened to me - they filed a change of address form to redirect my mail. Had to go to the post office with ID to fix it. These scammers are thorough 😡

I didn't even think of this! I'll check right away. Have you noticed any other accounts being affected?

They tried to open credit cards but the freezes stopped them. Also check with your cell phone carrier - they sometimes try to port your number to get access to 2FA codes.

If your letter shows a new BENEFIT YEAR END date, then you've been approved for a new claim period. Check that date carefully - it should be about a year from now if it's a new claim, or the same as your previous benefit year end date if it's just an extension.

Just checked and the benefit year end date is April 2024, which is about a year from now. My previous one ended in March 2023, so I guess this really is a new claim? But I never applied for one...

Definitely sounds like a new benefit year then. The system sometimes automatically processes these if you had sufficient wages in your new base period. I'd call to confirm, but this is probably good news for you!

WHATEVER YOU DO, SCREENSHOT EVERYTHING AND KEEP ALL LETTERS!!! I've been screwed over by ny unemployment system too many times because I couldn't prove what they sent me. Cover yourself.

Make sure u have all your documents ready when u finally get through to someone! They asked me for: - Original claim confirmation number - Dates of the missing weeks - Proof I was eligible during those weeks (I used a termination letter with my last day of work) - My current mailing address (even though it hadn't changed) Being super prepared made the process go way faster once I finally got someone on the phone.

I had a somewhat similar situation and what worked was contacting the ombudsman office. Google "ny unemployment ombudsman" and you'll find the contact info. They're specifically there to help with unusual situations that the regular customer service can't/won't handle.

How long did it take to hear back from the ombudsman? I submitted a request 3 weeks ago and silence...

Took about 4 weeks for me, so hang in there! They're slow but WAY more effective than calling the main line.

When did everyone get ID.me? I had to do that verification last year but my buddy who just filed got the fraud message instead. Seems like they're using different systems for different people??

They switched away from ID.me in some counties but not others. I'm in Albany and still had to use it, but my sister in Queens got the internal NYSDOL verification instead.

i stg ny unemployment is actively TRYING to keep people from getting benefits. like they make the system as broken as possible on purpose 🤡

I swear this is true. The website looks like it was designed in 2003 and never updated.

Facts. I work in IT and their system is a joke. Crashes every Monday like clockwork when everyone tries to certify.

if your employer doesnt verify that you werent actually laid off, you might be dealing with this for awhile. make sure you contact ur current/former employer to have them confirm with unemployment that you never lost your job.

That's a good point! I've been at the same job for 3 years, so I'll definitely get them involved.

anyone have a lawyer recommendation who specializes in this kind of stuff? im in a similar situation but might need legal help

Most people don't actually need a lawyer for this. Save your money and follow the steps people mentioned above. The systems are in place to handle it, they're just slow af.

Good to know, thanks. Just panicking a bit and thought I might need legal help.
