Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. everyone saying these are automatic adjustments is right but MAKE SURE THE IRS HAS YOUR CORRECT BANK INFO. My sister's refund got sent to a closed account and it took her MONTHS to straighten it out. Check your account info on the IRS website if you can access it.

This whole unemployment tax nightmare been a mess since day 1. first they tax all of it, then they untax some of it, then they take forever to process the refunds, and then they send out confusing transcripts that make ppl think theyre in trouble when really theyre gettin money back. its like they WANT us to be confused 🤦♂️

The benefit amount increase is actually good news! I had something similar happen last year - got a random increase of about $2000. Turns out they did a review of my wages and found additional earnings they hadn't counted before. You'll probably get more weekly benefits going forward too!

Based on what people are saying, it seems like a system glitch affecting multiple people. The other half of your payment should come through in a few days. If you need to talk to someone ASAP, try claimyr.com - it's the only way I've been able to reach a human at unemployment lately.

just watched my payment history disappear a payment too! I swear I'm not crazy. Last Thursday it was there and now it's gone. This system is so broken. Has anyone been able to get this resolved??

As a temporary solution, ask a friend if you can use their computer to check your account status online. Sometimes the error is device-specific. And clear your cookies/cache before trying.
Tried that already - used my sister's laptop, my phone, the library computer... same error message every time 😭

So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when my cousin told me about it. They don't fix anything themselves - they just get you past the hold time. After that you talk to DOL directly. Was skeptical too but it worked

Check the news! Just saw on channel 4 that there's a technical glitch with the $300 payments affecting multiple states. NY labor department said all payments should be processed by end of week. No need to call or do anything.
