If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

NY unemployment claim stuck at $0 since March 2021 - benefits show $0.00 weekly amount with 104 days remaining, facing eviction after 50+ calls

My previous unemployment benefits expired in May 2021 and I immediately filed a new claim. It's now October and I haven't received a single payment. When I check my account online, it shows my new claim starting 03/29/2021 with a benefit year ending 04/03/2022, but both my weekly benefit amount and maximum amount payable are stuck at $0.00. I still have 104 effective days remaining. Every transaction since 09/03/2021 just says: "We are continuing to work on your application and are determining the amount of benefits you will receive. You may get a call from us if we require further information. You will receive a status update as your application progresses through the system." All my weekly certifications show $0 under the "Effective Days" column, even though they should be weekly payments for $700. My account online literally displays: Start/Effective Date: 03/29/2021 Benefit Year Ending Date: 04/03/2022 Weekly Benefit Amount: $0.00 Maximum Amount Payable: $0.00 Effective Days Remaining: 104 I've called over 50 times and either get disconnected or can't get through to anyone who can actually help. The system recognizes I have a claim and shows all my information, but won't actually pay me anything. I'm about to be evicted from my apartment and have no income. I've been waiting for almost 7 months now with zero progress and zero explanation. My savings are completely depleted. Does anyone know how to get this fixed? Is there a specific department I should be asking for when I call? Should I file an appeal or complaint somewhere? I'm desperate at this point.

I think its a glitch in there system. My husband had the same issue. His claim was stuck at $0 for 2 months. When he finally got someone on the phone they said it was becuz the computer system flagged his claim for "potential fraud" for no reason. Once the agent looked at it they cleared the flag and he got all his money in 3 days. So frustrating!!

I spent 3 months calling NY unemployment every single day with no luck. Finally broke down and used claimyr.com after seeing it recommended here. Got connected to an agent in 2 hours who fixed my claim on the spot. Sometimes you just need to talk to a human and this was the only way I could make that happen after months of trying. My backpay hit my account 5 days later.

I was super skeptical too but I was desperate after 3 months of nothing. They literally just wait on hold instead of you. When an agent answers, they connect you. That's it. It was the only thing that worked after hundreds of calls on my own.

Same! I used them too and finally got someone who fixed my claim. Been telling everyone about it.

Try contacting them through Twitter. Seriously. Tweet @NYSLabor with your issue (don't include personal info) and they'll usually DM you to get your details. Worked for me when nothing else did.

This actually works sometimes! I got a response in 2 days when I tweeted them.

Wow, that's a creative solution. I'll give it a try - at this point I'll try anything!

After many failed attempts I finally had success with claimyr.com - they got me connected with a live agent who helped fix my claim. It was worth every penny to finally get my backpay released. Highly recommend if you're desperate like I was.

I was skeptical too, but this isn't a hack - it's just a service that waits on hold for you. I got over $3000 in backpay after the agent cleared up my issue, so it was definitely worth it for me.

I had the same experience - the service actually works. After 3 weeks of trying myself, I got through with Claimyr in under 2 hours.

Stop wasting time on the phone. It never helps. I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) after 3 months of getting nowhere and had my issue fixed in one call. talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast

Yeah, I was in the same boat as OP. Stuck in pending for months, savings drained. I was desperate enough to try anything. You pay them and they keep calling the unemployment line until they get through, then they connect you with the agent. Better than spending hours on hold yourself.

huh, that actually sounds useful. might give it a try if my senator's office doesn't come through by next week

I'm a claims adjudicator (not in NY). Generally any time you're not working through no fault of your own, you may qualify for UI. Quarantine due to workplace exposure typically qualifies. Make sure to answer all questions honestly and if in doubt, include more info in the comments section of your claim.

I swear the ny unemployment website was designed by sadistic trolls who want us all to suffer. Good luck figuring out which options to select for your situation - it's like a choose your own adventure that always ends with DENIED.

LMAO so true. I feel like I need a PhD to understand half the questions they ask.

The website is trash but talking to an actual human on the phone helps so much. They can override stuff in the system the website can't do. I ended up using claimyr.com since I couldn't get through on my own.

NY unemployment federal benefits ending September 5, 2021 - What options exist after PEUC/EB programs expire?

Just got this letter from NY unemployment saying that federal benefits are ending on September 6, 2021. I'm currently getting the extended benefits after my regular UI ran out in July. They're saying this is the last month I can get payments through these extensions, and I'm still struggling to find work. I've had a few interviews but nothing solid yet. The letter states: "This is a reminder that per federal law, federal unemployment benefits and extensions are scheduled to expire on September 5, 2021." It specifically mentions that this includes benefits in the following programs: - Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) - Extended Benefits (EB) - $300 Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) supplement - $100 Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) supplement - Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) The letter says "Our records indicate that you are currently receiving or eligible for PEUC or EB benefits. If you are still out of work, the last week to certify for full or partial benefits through these programs is September 5, 2021 through September 11, 2021." It also mentions that to be eligible for a new unemployment insurance (UI) claim, I must have worked and earned enough wages in covered employment (generally employment where a W-2 is issued). I've been relying on these payments to cover rent and basic bills. Really worried about what happens next month when everything stops. Does anyone know if there are any other options after this runs out? Anyone else in the same situation or know what alternatives might exist once these benefits end?
