IRS Transcript Offset Line Not Showing Recent 2024 Treasury Offsets - When Does it Update?
My transcript shows I'm getting an offset but the offset line only shows stuff from February 2024. Nothing showing up for this years offsets yet. Does anyone know when they update that line? Starting to get worried because I know theres supposed to be more offsets but I can't see them.

The offset line in your transcript typically updates within 2-3 weeks of when the Treasury Offset Program (TOP) processes the offset. However, there can be a delay between when an offset is authorized and when it actually shows on your transcript. Your best bet is to call the TOP hotline at 800-304-3107 to get the most current offset information.

did you try checking your account transcript instead of return transcript? sometimes offset info shows up there first

Protip: if u have student loans call the dept of education directly. they usually have more updated info than the irs transcripts

Same issue here! My transcript is showing offsets from early 2024 but I know there should be more recent ones. The delay is so frustrating when you're trying to figure out your refund situation. Has anyone found that calling the IRS directly helps, or do they just tell you to wait for the transcript to update?
