IRS Transcript Updated with Codes 150, 806, 766, 768 - $6,612 Refund Amount But No 846 Code or Offset Showing Yet

My transcript updated this weekend and I'm seeing all the codes and credits posted but no offset showing yet. I filed as Head of Household with 3 exemptions. My AGI is $38,512.00 and taxable income is $16,612.00. According to my transcript, my account balance is -$7,612.00 with no accrued interest or penalties as of Feb. 11, 2025. When I look at the transactions section, I can see: CODE EXPLANATION OF TRANSACTION CYCLE DATE AMOUNT 150 Tax return filed 20250405 02-11-2025 $97.00 76211-421-36294-5 806 W-2 or 1099 withholding 04-16-2025 -$529.00 766 Credit to your account 04-16-2025 -$3,437.00 768 Earned income credit 04-17-2025 -$4,842.00 Still waiting on that 846 code to pop up. Anyone here deal with federal offset before? Did your transcript look similar before the offset hit? I'm concerned because my return due date (or received date) was Apr. 15, 2025, and the processing date shows as Feb. 11, 2025. I can see all these credits posted - my withholding, the regular credit, and the earned income credit - but I'm still waiting to see if there will be an offset and when I'll actually receive my refund. Just trying to figure out what to expect next.

Tax pro here! When dealing with federal offsets, they typically don't show immediately on your transcript. The TOP (Treasury Offset Program) processes these separately, and you might not see it until after the fact. You can call the TOP hotline at 800-304-3107 to check if you have any pending offsets.

Went thru this last year. Had student loan offset. Transcript showed normal codes then boom, amount changed after offset hit. took about 2 weeks total
