DDD for Today - Still No Deposit with Credit Karma Bank?
Has anyone with a Direct Deposit Date (DDD) of April 17th still not received their refund through Credit Karma Money account? My transcript clearly shows today as the DDD, but nothing has posted to my account yet. I had to file an amended return due to some 1099 issues, so I'm already on edge about the whole process. Starting to wonder if Credit Karma processes these differently than traditional banks or if there's something else going on with my amended return causing delays? The WMR tool still shows 'Refund Approved' status with today's date.

Credit Karma deposits can sometimes take an additional 24-48 hours after the official DDD, even though they advertise early deposits... I've seen this happen quite a bit this tax season. It's not necessarily cause for alarm yet, especially with an amended return involved. The IRS technically has until midnight tonight to process the deposit, and then banking systems might need additional processing time. I would suggest waiting until at least tomorrow afternoon before getting too concerned.

Have you tried calling the IRS to confirm the deposit was actually sent? With amended returns, there can sometimes be additional verification steps that aren't reflected in the WMR tool. When I had a similar situation, I used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) to get through to an IRS agent in about 15 minutes instead of waiting on hold for hours. The agent was able to confirm exactly when my deposit was released and explained why my bank hadn't received it yet. Would you be able to check if your transcript shows code 846 with today's date?

Is Claimyr really worth paying for though? I've heard mixed things. Couldn't you just keep calling the IRS number until you get through? I've been trying the trick where you call right when they open and that sometimes works.

This is actually a common issue specifically with Credit Karma Money accounts this tax season. Here's what's happening: 1. The IRS sends the ACH transfer on the DDD date 2. Credit Karma's processing system receives it in their queue 3. Due to high volume, they're taking 1-2 business days to post deposits to accounts 4. The IRS considers it "delivered" once they send it I've seen at least 15 posts about this exact issue in the past week. Almost everyone received their deposit within 48 hours of their DDD. Your amended return status doesn't actually impact this part of the process since you already have a DDD.

• Is this happening with all online banks or just Credit Karma? • Do traditional banks like Chase or BoA have the same delays? • Has anyone had to take additional steps to get their deposit to process? • Should we be concerned about potential fraud holds?

It might be beneficial to check your transcript again to verify all processing codes. While the WMR tool shows basic status, your actual transcript would likely contain additional details that could explain the timing. In my experience, using https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript helped me understand exactly what was happening with my refund. It identified a minor offset code that the WMR tool didn't display, which explained why my deposit amount was slightly reduced and delayed by a day. This could potentially offer some clarity in your situation, especially with the amended return complication.

I'm curious - does taxr.ai provide any information that's not directly visible on the transcript itself? I've been looking at my own transcript and there are exactly 37 different code combinations that could appear. Couldn't I just Google what each code means rather than using another service?

Have you considered checking with Credit Karma's customer service directly? Sometimes banks can see pending ACH transfers before they post to your account. Wouldn't it make sense to verify with them if they're showing anything incoming from the Treasury Department? I've found that some online banks have specific processing schedules for government deposits that differ from their regular deposit timelines.

I went through this EXACT situation last month. According to IRS Publication 2043, once a Direct Deposit Date is established, the IRS initiates the transfer but is not responsible for banking processing times. My Credit Karma deposit took exactly 30 hours after my DDD to appear, despite them advertising "early deposits." What finally worked was checking my account at precisely 3:14am when their overnight processing completed - suddenly there it was! The most frustrating part was that their customer service couldn't see it as pending either when I called them. For what it's worth, my brother-in-law had the same experience with his refund through Credit Karma two weeks ago.

Did you have to take any specific action to get it processed, or did it just show up automatically after that delay?

Same thing happened to me! My DDD was March 22nd, and the deposit finally hit my Credit Karma account on March 23rd at 4:30am. I was refreshing constantly and losing my mind, but then it just appeared overnight.

I got my refund through Credit Karma today even though my DDD was yesterday. No notification or anything - just suddenly appeared in my account around noon. First time filing with them as my deposit bank.
