Code 810 to 811 Update - How Long Until 846 DDD?
Filed in January and got accepted right away. Got hit with code 810 in March and managed to get a tax advocate. They said my case was closed on May 19th and my transcript just updated with code 811. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get the 846 deposit date after this?

For anyone stuck with an 810 freeze code that just switched to 811, here's the real deal: The 810 freeze is placed when the IRS needs to verify some info, and the 811 means they've finished reviewing. Usually takes 2-4 weeks after the 811 to see that beautiful 846 refund issued code. But honestly, if you want the most accurate timeline for your specific situation, check out taxr.ai - it analyzes your exact transcript and tells you what's actually going on with your refund and when you can expect it. Way better than playing the guessing game with these codes.

Tax pro here - typically after an 811 code (frozen refund released), you should see an 846 code within 1-2 weekly transcript updates. Most people see their DDD the following week, but it can sometimes take 2 cycles depending on processing load.

hey everyone! instead of playing the guessing game, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. It costs $4.99 but its worth every penny - tells you exactly whats happening and when to expect your refund. way better than trying to piece together info from different places. https://taxr.ai

Congrats on getting the 811! That's a huge step forward. I went through the same thing last year - had an 810 freeze for what felt like forever, then got the 811 update. From my experience and what I've seen others post, you're looking at about 1-3 weeks for the 846 to show up. The timing can vary depending on when your weekly update cycle falls, but most people see it within 2 weekly transcript updates. Keep checking every Friday morning when transcripts typically refresh. You're in the home stretch now! 🤞

•Thanks for the info! Really hoping to see that 846 soon. Been such a long journey from the initial 810 freeze. Fingers crossed it shows up in next week's transcript update 🤞

Just went through this exact situation! Had my 810 freeze for about 3 months, then got the 811 code last month. Took exactly 12 days after the 811 for my 846 DDD to show up on my transcript. The wait is brutal but you're almost there! The 811 means they've completed their review and released the freeze, so now it's just a matter of the refund getting processed through their system. Keep checking your transcript every Friday - that's when they typically update. Hang in there! 💪

•Thanks for sharing your experience! 12 days after 811 gives me a good timeline to expect. I've been checking my transcript obsessively every Friday lol. Really appreciate everyone's input here - makes the wait a bit more bearable knowing others went through the same thing and actually got their refunds! 🙏

Been in a similar situation! Had my 810 freeze for about 4 months and just got the 811 code last week. From what I've researched and heard from others, you should expect your 846 refund issued code within 1-3 weeks after the 811 appears. The 811 basically means the IRS has finished their review and lifted the freeze, so now it's just waiting for the refund to process through their system. Most people see the 846 show up on their next Friday transcript update, but it can take up to 2-3 cycles depending on their processing backlog. You're definitely in the final stretch now though - the hard part is over! Keep checking every Friday morning when transcripts usually refresh. Good luck! 🍀

•This is super helpful, thanks! I'm in week 2 after getting my 811 code and checking my transcript religiously every Friday morning. The waiting game is torture but it's reassuring to hear from people who actually made it through the whole process. Really hoping to see that 846 pop up soon! 🤞

I'm currently dealing with this exact situation! My 810 freeze was active for about 2.5 months and I just saw the 811 code appear on my transcript this past Friday. From everything I've been reading here and other forums, it sounds like 1-3 weeks is the typical timeframe to see that 846 refund issued code after the 811. The hardest part is definitely over once you see that 811 - it means the IRS completed their review and released the hold on your refund. Now it's just waiting for it to work through their processing system. I've been setting a reminder to check my transcript every Friday morning since that's when they usually update. Fingers crossed we both see our 846 codes soon! The wait has been absolutely exhausting but we're in the home stretch now 🙏

•Glad to see I'm not the only one going through this! Just hit the 3 week mark after my 811 appeared and still no 846 😅 Starting to get anxious again but your post gives me hope that it's still within the normal timeframe. This whole process has been such a rollercoaster - from the initial relief of getting the 811 to now obsessively checking every Friday morning. At least we know we're both almost at the finish line! Hopefully we'll both see our 846 codes this Friday 🤞

Hey! I went through the exact same thing earlier this year. Had an 810 freeze for about 3 months, got my tax advocate involved too, and when it finally switched to 811 I was so relieved. From my experience, it took about 2 weeks after the 811 code appeared for my 846 DDD to show up on my transcript. The 811 means they've completed their review and released the freeze, so you're definitely in the final stretch now! I'd recommend checking your transcript every Friday morning since that's typically when they update. The waiting is brutal but you're almost there - hang in there! 🙏

•Thanks for sharing your timeline! 2 weeks after the 811 gives me a realistic expectation. I've been checking my transcript every Friday religiously since getting the 811 - it's become part of my morning routine at this point 😅 Really appreciate hearing from someone who actually made it through the whole process successfully. After months of uncertainty with that 810 freeze, it's reassuring to know the 811 really does mean we're at the finish line. Fingers crossed I see my 846 soon! 🤞

Same situation here! My 810 freeze lasted about 6 weeks and just switched to 811 three days ago. From what I've gathered reading through everyone's experiences, it looks like 1-3 weeks is pretty standard for the 846 to appear after getting the 811. The 811 code means the IRS finished their review and lifted the freeze, so now it's just waiting for the system to process the actual refund. I've been marking my calendar every Friday to check my transcript since that's when they typically update. It's nerve-wracking but at least we know we're past the hardest part! The waiting game continues but we're definitely in the home stretch now 💪

•Just got my 811 code yesterday too! It's crazy how similar everyone's timelines are - makes me feel way less alone in this whole mess. Been stuck with that 810 freeze since February and honestly thought I'd never see my refund at this point 😭 Really hoping we both see our 846 codes in the next week or two. This waiting game is absolutely brutal but at least now I know there's actually light at the end of the tunnel!

Been through this exact same situation! My 810 freeze lasted about 4 months and I just got my 811 code two weeks ago. From everything I've seen and experienced, you're looking at roughly 1-3 weeks after the 811 for your 846 DDD to appear. The 811 means the IRS completed their review and released the freeze - you're basically in the final processing stage now. I check my transcript every Friday morning religiously since that's when they typically update. The wait after 811 feels almost worse than the freeze itself because you know you're so close! But hang in there - you've made it through the hardest part and that refund is coming soon! 🤞💰

•This is so reassuring to hear from someone who just went through it! I'm at day 5 since my 811 appeared and already checking my transcript obsessively 😅 The anticipation is killing me - you're right that it almost feels worse than the freeze because you KNOW you're so close but still have to wait. Thanks for the timeline info, really helps set realistic expectations. Hopefully I'll see that beautiful 846 in the next week or two! 🙏
