Code 810 freeze on transcript but IRS account shows 2024 return not processed - Filed 1/15
Filed my taxes on January 15th and got accepted on the 17th. Just checked my transcript and saw code 810. When I log into my regular IRS account it says my 2024 refund hasnt been processed yet. Anyone else experiencing this or know what this means?

Code 810 is a freeze code that means your return is under review. This doesnt necessarily mean audit - could be identity verification or they're matching your W2 info. Keep checking your transcript for updates and watch for any notices in the mail requesting additional information.

•Thanks for explaining! Do you know how long these usually take to resolve?

•Honestly it varies. Could be a few weeks to a few months. Just keep an eye on your mail and transcript for changes.

Hey there! Instead of playing detective with transcript codes, I've been using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer. For $1 it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. The AI is crazy accurate https://taxr.ai

The IRS website and transcript showing different things is super common rn. The transcript is usually more accurate than the where's my refund tool.

Check your mail like a hawk. I had this last year and missed their letter asking for ID verification. Delayed everything by 2 months smh

Code 810 with early filing is pretty normal - they're probably just doing their usual verification checks since you filed so early in the season. I wouldn't stress too much unless you get a letter asking for docs. Most of these clear up automatically within 2-3 weeks once they finish processing the backlog from holiday season.
