Missing $600 federal supplement after receiving regular DEO payment - when will it arrive?

So I finally got through the mess with my DEO claim and was able to file for a week where I earned less than $275. My regular unemployment payment hit my account today (about 2-3 days after filing), but I'm still waiting on the $600 federal supplement. Does anyone know if these payments come separately? Is there some kind of delay between getting the state benefit and the federal one? The DEO website doesn't explain this at all and I'm stressing about bills. I need that federal money ASAP!

The DEO system is totally different now with federal payments. I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) last month to get through to a live agent who explained everything. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj. The agent told me federal supplements can take 3-7 days longer than regular payments. Something about separate processing systems. Worth calling to check if yours is coming or if there's an issue!

Thanks for the info! Is Claimyr legit? I've been trying to call DEO for days but just get disconnected. I'm so confused because some people seem to get both payments together and others get them separately. I'll check out that video.

There are no more $600 federal supplements in 2025. Those were part of the FPUC program during COVID. The only federal supplements now are the FSC (Federal Supplement Compensation) which is $300/week and only available if you qualify under the new eligibility requirements established last year. Did you get a determination that you qualify for FSC? If not, you'll only receive your regular state benefits up to the $275 maximum. Check your CONNECT homepage under 'View and Maintain Account Information' and look at your monetary determination. It will show which programs you're eligible for.

Wait WHAT?? No one told me this! I thought the $600 was still available because my neighbor mentioned getting it. Maybe she meant the $300? So confused right now. Where in CONNECT exactly do I find this information? I'm terrible at navigating that site.

The previous poster is correct - there is no $600 federal supplement anymore. The $600 FPUC ended years ago during the pandemic. Florida now has a maximum state benefit of $375 per week (increased from $275 in late 2023), and depending on economic triggers and your specific eligibility, you might qualify for the current FSC program which provides an additional $300. Check your monetary determination letter in CONNECT under the "Determination, Pending Issues and Decision Summary" section. It will specifically list which programs you qualify for. If you don't see FSC listed there, you're only eligible for regular state benefits. The DEO sends out benefits on different schedules depending on your last name and claim filing date, which is why your neighbor might receive payments on different days.

Thank you for explaining this clearly! I just checked and I don't see FSC anywhere on my determination letter. I guess my neighbor was confused too or maybe she has different eligibility. The max benefit definitely increased to $375 like you said. At least that's more than the old $275 maximum.

everyone always confused about the supplements. they change the rules every 6 months i swear! i thought i was getting extra $$ too but then found out i wasn't eligible for FSC because i didn't have enough work quarters or something. the DEO is TERRIBLE at explaining anything!!

This happened to me too! I spent 3 weeks thinking I qualified for FSC only to find out I didn't meet the earnings requirement for the base period. So frustrating.

Just to clarify, to qualify for the current FSC program you need: 1. Exhausted regular state benefits 2. Have earned at least 40x your weekly benefit amount in your base period 3. Be in an approved high unemployment county (DEO publishes the list monthly) 4. Have completed at least 5 verifiable work searches per week If you don't meet ALL of these requirements, you'll only receive the state benefit amount. And yes, the maximum state benefit was increased to $375 in the last Florida legislative session.

Thanks for spelling it all out. I've only filed for one week so far, so I definitely haven't exhausted my regular benefits. That explains why I'm not seeing FSC on my account. At least the state benefit is higher now than it used to be. I'll keep doing my 5 work searches and hopefully find something full-time soon.

Whatever you do, make ABSOLUTELY SURE you're reporting any part-time income correctly. If you earned less than $375 but still had some income, you need to report it for each week. I missed reporting $120 from a side gig and ended up with an overpayment notice and had to appeal. NIGHTMARE. The DEO is super strict about this now.

Oh gosh, thanks for the warning! I'm definitely reporting everything. I'm working part-time retail right now but my hours got cut way back. I report every penny I make each week, even tips.
