DEO finally sent backpay from March - Will federal $300 be included after program ended?

So after 3 months of fighting with DEO, my husband's claim from March finally got processed and we saw the backpay hit our account this morning ($1375 for 5 weeks). But here's what I'm confused about - will the federal $300 weekly benefit also be included in a separate payment? The federal program officially ended last week in Florida, but since his claim was for March-April, shouldn't he still qualify for those additional payments? Has anyone had their federal payments come separately after the regular unemployment? Getting desperate waiting for the full amount we were counting on.

Yes! The FPUC payments (that's the $300 federal money) should still be paid for any eligible weeks even though the program has ended. Those payments are typically processed separately from your regular DEO/RA benefits. Your husband should receive them for all eligible weeks regardless of when they actually process the payment. Just keep checking your account or payment history in CONNECT daily - mine took about 3 days after the regular benefits to show up.

Omg thank you! That's such a relief. Do you know roughly how long after the regular payment the federal money usually comes? I'm checking CONNECT obsessively but nothing yet.

Thank you! It's been such a nightmare trying to budget with no idea when this money would come.

To clarify the timing: If his claim weeks were from March, then yes, he will definitely receive the $300 FPUC payments for each eligible week claimed during that period. The important date is when the weeks were claimed, not when DEO processes the payment. The federal money is typically processed within 2-5 business days after the regular unemployment payment, but it can sometimes take up to 7-10 days. Also, make sure all his fact finding questions were completed and there are no pending issues on the account that might hold up the federal portion. If you don't see the federal payment within two weeks, I'd recommend contacting DEO directly to check if there's an issue.

LMAO good luck with contacting DEO!!! I've been trying to reach them for THREE MONTHS about missing federal payments from April!!! Their phone system is a JOKE - it either hangs up on you automatically or puts you on hold for 4+ hours before disconnecting. And don't bother with the contact form on their website - they NEVER respond. The whole system is DELIBERATELY designed to prevent people from getting help!!!

You're right that contacting DEO can be incredibly difficult. Have you tried using Claimyr? It's a service that helps you get through to a DEO agent without waiting on hold for hours. I was skeptical at first, but it worked for me when I needed to resolve an issue with my missing federal payments. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj

my cousin had same thing happen and he got the $300 payments about a week after his regular benefits hit. but that was last month so maybe its different now since program ended? idk

Just to add one important point that hasn't been mentioned - double check that your husband's claim wasn't filed under PUA instead of regular unemployment. The state system treats them differently, and sometimes the FPUC payments come through different timelines depending on which program you're under. You can see this on his CONNECT homepage under "claim type" - should say Regular UC/RA if it's standard unemployment.

I just checked and it says Regular UC. So that means we should be getting the federal money, right? I'm getting really anxious because we need that money for our mortgage payment next week.

The backpay situation is so frustrating! When I finally got mine last year, I had to wait 12 days for the federal portion to show up. I was so mad because my neighbor got hers in 2 days! The DEO system seems completely random sometimes.

For your husband's claim weeks from March, the federal $300 supplement (FPUC) should definitely be paid. The program ending doesn't affect past eligible weeks. The actual payment timing varies, but here's what affects it: 1. Whether there were any fact-finding issues on the claim 2. How backed up DEO's payment processing system is 3. Which payment method you selected (direct deposit is faster than Way2Go card) You should see the federal payments post to CONNECT before they hit your bank account. Keep checking your payment history in CONNECT daily.

UPDATE: The federal money just hit our account this morning! It was exactly 4 days after the regular benefits. Thank you all for your help!
