First DEO payment received but weekly payments stopped - why am I not getting more?

So confused right now with my DEO payments! I got approved for unemployment benefits after waiting forever (like 3 weeks). I submitted all my work search contacts for 5 jobs each week like they require. Last Thursday I finally got my first payment of $281 deposited to my account and was SO relieved! But now it's been 8 days and nothing else has shown up? My CONNECT account still says I'm supposed to get weekly payments, and the status shows 'active' but no money this week. Do I need to do something else? Is there a delay between the first payment and regular weekly ones? I've claimed my weeks properly and everything shows 'processed' in the system. I'm starting to panic since rent is due next week! Anyone else have this happen?

theres always delays with deo... sometimes they skip a week for no reason. did u check ur account to see if the week shows 'processed' or still 'pending'? also make sure ur reporting the right number of job contacts (5 per week

It says 'processed' for both weeks I claimed! That's why I'm so confused. And yes I'm definitely submitting 5 work search contacts each time. Should I try calling them or just wait longer?

There are a few things to check here. First, make sure you're claiming your weeks correctly on the schedule DEO assigns you. If you claimed late, that could delay payment. Second, verify that you don't have any new fact-finding questionnaires or pending adjudication issues in your CONNECT inbox. Sometimes they add these without any notification. Third, check if your payment method is set up correctly - if you switched from direct deposit to the Way2Go card (or vice versa), there can be a delay in processing. If everything looks correct, there might be a system glitch. Unfortunately, DEO's systems often have delays that aren't reflected in your account status. Since your weeks are showing as 'processed,' you should eventually receive payment, but timing can be unpredictable.

Thank you! I checked and don't have any new fact-finding stuff or messages in my CONNECT inbox. I'm using direct deposit to the same account where I got the first payment, so that shouldn't be the issue. Is it normal to wait over a week between payments even when everything shows 'processed'?

I went through EXACTLY this last month! Got my first payment then nothing for 10 days even though everything showed processed. Turns out there was an identity verification hold that wasn't showing up in my account! I wasted days refreshing my account before I finally got through to a DEO agent who fixed it in 5 minutes. Seriously, don't wait - call them asap. I tried for 3 days getting busy signals before using Claimyr.com to get through. They connected me to a DEO agent within 45 minutes after I was getting nothing but busy signals for days. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj Don't wait on this - if there's a hold on your account that isn't visible to you, it could delay payments for weeks!

Yes, it's legitimate. I was skeptical too, but when you've called 50+ times and can't get through, paying to get connected becomes worth it. I needed my money to pay rent - couldn't afford to wait weeks for DEO to maybe call back. They just connect you to the regular DEO agents, they don't handle your claim themselves.

Thanks for the info! I tried calling this morning and couldn't get through - just busy signals and then it hung up on me after 20 minutes. I might try that service if I can't get through tomorrow. Really need to figure this out before rent is due!

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY BROTHER!! DEO is TERRIBLE with communication!!! He had to call 23 TIMES before someone picked up and fixed his account. Turns out they put a random hold on his account for "income verification" even though he already uploaded ALL his documents when he applied!!! The worst part is NOTHING in his CONNECT account showed any problems!!! The agent fixed it in literally 2 minutes once he finally got through but he lost 3 WEEKS of payments waiting!! DEO is the WORST. Their system is DESIGNED to make people give up on getting benefits they deserve!!

This is fairly common with DEO unfortunately. Their system often applies holds that don't show up in your CONNECT portal. It could be anything from identity verification to income verification to a random quarterly review. The processed status just means your claim was processed, not necessarily approved for payment. You definitely need to speak with a live agent.

Update: Finally got through to DEO this morning! Turns out there was a random hold on my account for "employment separation verification" that wasn't showing in my CONNECT portal at all. The agent cleared it and said my payment should be processed in 24-48 hours. So frustrating that there was no way for me to know this without calling! Thanks everyone for your help!

For anyone facing similar issues in the future, here's a quick checklist: 1. Check your CONNECT inbox for fact-finding questionnaires 2. Verify your payment method is set up correctly 3. Make sure you're claiming weeks on your assigned schedule 4. Confirm you're reporting the required 5 work search contacts per week 5. Look for any pending adjudication issues in your claim status If everything looks correct but you're still not receiving payments, there's likely an invisible hold on your account. The only way to resolve these is to speak with a DEO representative directly. Unfortunately, their phone system is overwhelmed, so persistence is key. Call early in the morning (7:30 AM when they open) for the best chance of getting through.

This is super helpful! I wish DEO would post this kind of information clearly on their website. It would save everyone so much stress and confusion. I'll save this for future reference!

Yes! The money finally showed up in my account this morning - both weeks paid at once. Such a relief! Thanks for checking in.
