DEO payment says deposited Friday but money still missing from account
Has anyone else had an issue where your DEO CONNECT account says your payment was deposited but the money never shows up? I completed my claim certification last Thursday, and CONNECT showed my payment was processed and deposited on Friday. It's now been 3 days and there's still no money in my bank account or on my Way2Go card. I've tried calling DEO but of course I can't get through to anyone. This is the first time I've had this issue - my previous payments always showed up within 24 hours. I've got rent due this week and I'm starting to panic. Is there a delay with payments right now or should I be worried that something's wrong with my claim?

It does say processed, but it's been 3 business days now (Friday, Monday, Tuesday). My previous payments always came the next day. Is there someone specific I should contact about this?

This happened to me last month. There's a difference between when CONNECT shows it as 'processed' versus actually being deposited. Check your payment history screen and look for 'Payment Method' - does it show Direct Deposit or Way2Go card? Also check if the status says 'Processed' or 'Processed and Paid.' If it only says 'Processed,' it's still being prepared but hasn't been sent yet. Sometimes there are also holds if you've recently changed your payment method or if there's an ongoing adjudication issue that wasn't visible when you claimed.

It says 'Processed and Paid' and the payment method shows Direct Deposit. That's why I'm so confused! It's like the money disappeared between DEO and my bank.

OMG THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING TO ME RIGHT NOW!!!! Claimed Thursday, shows paid Friday, and NOTHING in my account yet!!! I've been checking my bank account every hour since yesterday. This has never happened before and I'm totally freaking out because my car insurance is about to automatically draft. Do you think it's a system-wide problem?

Guys, I'm seeing tons of posts about this on the Florida unemployment Facebook group too. Seems like DEO is having some kind of processing delay with direct deposits this week. Someone posted that they called their bank and the bank said they don't even see a pending deposit from DEO yet, so it seems the issue is on DEO's end, not the banks.

Ugh that makes me feel a little better knowing it's not just me but also WORSE because who knows when it'll be fixed! 😫

There's actually a notice about this on the DEO website right now. They're experiencing technical issues with their payment processing system that's affecting direct deposits initiated between June 22-24, 2025. They're saying affected payments should be processed within 3-5 business days. Unfortunately, calling the regular DEO number probably won't help since the agents don't have any additional information on when the backlog will clear.\n\nIf you need to speak with someone at DEO urgently about your specific payment or to see if your payment is affected by this issue, I'd recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). I was in a similar situation last month with a missing payment and couldn't get through on the regular lines. Claimyr got me connected to a DEO agent in about 20 minutes instead of spending days calling. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj

Thanks for mentioning the notice! I just checked and it's there under 'System Alerts.' At least they're acknowledging the issue. 3-5 business days is still rough though when bills are due.

Just wanted to update - my payment FINALLY hit my account this morning (Wednesday). So it took 5 days total, or 3 business days. Seems like they're slowly working through the backlog. Hope everyone else gets their payments soon!

While I understand your frustration, that's not entirely accurate. Florida's unemployment trust fund doesn't work that way - it's not an interest-bearing account that benefits from short delays. The more likely explanation is that their payment processing system (which is notoriously outdated) simply can't handle the volume of transactions sometimes, especially after system updates. Not saying DEO is perfect by any means, but the delays are more about incompetence than malice.

I double-checked and all my bank info is correct in the system. Plus I've received payments before to the same account without issues. Thanks for the suggestion though!
