DEO payments stuck in 'payable' status for 5 months - not hitting my account
I'm seriously stressed out about my DEO situation. I have 20 weeks of claims that show as 'processed and payable' in CONNECT since January, but the money has never been deposited to my account. We're talking about $8,750 that should have been paid out! I've tried calling the DEO hotline every single day for the past 3 weeks - either busy signals or getting disconnected after waiting forever. I've emailed their general inbox twice with zero response.\n\nMy bills are piling up and I'm about to get evicted. I'm worried there's some kind of payment processing glitch in their system, but I can't get anyone to help fix it. Has anyone dealt with payments stuck in this 'payable' limbo state? Is there some magic trick to actually get the money transferred to my Way2Go card? I've tried everything I can think of and I'm at my wit's end.

I had this EXACT problem last month! My claims were sitting there in 'payable' status for like 3 months. The issue turned out to be that my payment method somehow got reset in the system. Go to the 'View and Maintain Account Information' section in CONNECT, then click on 'Payment Method and Tax Withholding Options' - check if your payment method is still set to direct deposit or Way2Go card (whichever you originally chose). Mine had mysteriously switched to 'check' even though I NEVER selected that!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already checked that. My payment method is definitely set to Way2Go card and hasn't changed. That's why it's so confusing! The system says I should be getting paid but nothing ever shows up on my card.

Sometimes when u have payable status but no $$ its bcuz theres a flag on ur acct they didnt tell u about...happens ALL THE TIME with DEO...they r the worst agency ever!! my cousin had same thing 4 THREE MONTHS before someone told him there was identity verification issue but NOTHING in his connect inbox about it!!! Try logging into ID.me again even if u already did it once

I did re-verify with ID.me about 2 weeks ago thinking that might be the issue, but it didn't seem to change anything. Still showing payable but no money. So frustrating!

This sounds like what's called a 'payment hold' in the DEO system. It typically happens when there's an unresolved issue that may not be visible to you in CONNECT. Common causes include:\n\n1. Pending adjudication on a previous claim week that's blocking all subsequent payments\n2. An employer protest that hasn't been fully processed\n3. A potential overpayment investigation\n4. A quarterly wage review flag\n\nUnfortunately, the only way to resolve this is to speak with a claims specialist who can see the specific hold code on your account. Regular call center reps often can't even see these codes.\n\nI had a similar situation and finally got through using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a service that connects you directly to a DEO agent, bypassing the busy signals. There's a demo of how it works here: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj \n\nOnce I got through, the agent told me there was a wage verification hold that wasn't visible in my portal. They released the payments that same day.

I second using Claimyr! I was skeptical at first but after two months of trying to get through on my own for an issue with back payments not processing, I tried it and got connected to DEO in about 30 minutes. The agent saw a hold on my account due to a previous employment verification issue that wasn't showing in my CONNECT account at all.

Just be careful with these paid services, people. The DEO is free to use, you're just paying for convenience. Some people have had success, others haven't. There are also free alternatives like contacting your state representative's office - they often have direct lines to DEO liaisons who can escalate your case.

I actually tried contacting my state rep last week! Their office took my info but said they're handling so many DEO cases that it could be 3-4 weeks before they get to mine. I don't have that kind of time with eviction looming. I might try Claimyr as a last resort.

the deo is STEALING from us!!! i had $6,000 in payable weeks that they NEVER paid me and then they just disappeared from my account history after the 1 year mark!!! they hope we give up fighting for what they owe us!!! CALL EVERY DAY and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!! this is FRAUD by our state government!!!!

While I understand your frustration, what you're describing isn't the standard procedure. Claim weeks don't simply disappear from account history after one year - they're archived but remain accessible in your payment history. If you're missing records, you should request your complete file through a public records request.\n\nWhat likely happened is that your claim year expired and any unpaid weeks would need to be addressed through an appeal or backdate request. It's not fraud - it's a poorly designed system with inadequate staffing and outdated technology.

THEY WANT US TO THINK THAT!!! ur probably one of them trying to cover it up!!! why else would THOUSANDS of people have the same experience???? my brother-in-law works for the state (not DEO) and he says they have INTERNAL QUOTAS for how much they can pay out each month!!! the rest gets \

Have you tried checking if there's a hold code on your account? Sometimes there are flags that don't show up in the regular CONNECT interface. When I called, I specifically asked the agent to check for 'payment hold codes' on my account. Turns out I had an 'RFI hold' (Request for Information) that I never received notification about. Once they cleared that, my payments processed within 48 hours.

That's exactly the problem - I can't get through to an agent to ask about hold codes! I've tried calling at different times of day, different days of the week. Either busy signals or disconnected after waiting. It's like they've completely abandoned the phone lines.

Yes, mine actually shows payment dates! That's what makes it so crazy - the system thinks it paid me. Each week shows a payment date from 2-5 months ago, but the money never hit my account. It's like the system processed the payment but then it went into a black hole.

Since you've confirmed payment dates are showing, this is most likely a banking information issue or a Way2Go card problem. Here are steps to try:\n\n1. Contact Way2Go card directly at 833-888-2290 to verify if they're showing pending or rejected deposits\n\n2. Check if your Way2Go card is active and not expired (they expire every 3 years)\n\n3. Verify your SSN is correct in CONNECT under your profile information\n\n4. Request a payment tracer through DEO (requires speaking to an agent)\n\nOne client I helped had this exact issue - payable status with payment dates but no money. It turned out her payments were going to an old Way2Go card that had been deactivated but was still in the system. DEO had to manually update the card number in their system (which is separate from what shows in CONNECT).

This is incredibly helpful! I called Way2Go and they confirmed they don't see ANY pending deposits from DEO in the last 6 months. They also verified my card is active and the account number matches what's in my CONNECT profile. So it definitely seems like the payments are getting stuck somewhere between DEO processing and actually being sent to Way2Go.\n\nNow I just need to somehow get through to a DEO agent to request that payment tracer you mentioned. I'll keep trying the phone lines and maybe try that Claimyr service as a last resort if I can't get through in the next couple days. Thank you!

You actually have multiple options to resolve this:\n\n1. Email Reemployment.Assistance@deo.myflorida.com with the subject line \

Thank you! I'll send that email right now with the payment tracer request. I didn't realize CareerSource could help with this - there's an office about 20 minutes from me, so I'll try going there tomorrow morning. Really appreciate all these options!
