UI Online login error: "Information does not match records in our system" - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into UI Online. When I try to log in, it keeps saying my "information does not match the records in our system." I've double-checked everything and I'm sure I'm entering the correct info. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Ugh, I had the same issue last month. It's so frustrating! Have you tried clearing your browser cache? That worked for me.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try and see if it helps.

•Clearing cache is always the first step! If that doesn't work, try a different browser or even your phone. Sometimes the UI Online site is just wonky af 🙄

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks?! That's highway robbery! The EDD should make it easier to contact them without having to pay extra 😤

•I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. I spent days trying to get through before I found this. Sometimes you gotta spend money to save time 🤷♂️

Have you recently updated any of your personal information? Sometimes the system takes a while to update and can cause login issues.

Omg, the EDD system is such a joke. I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. 🤡🤡🤡

Here's a comprehensive guide to troubleshooting UI Online login issues: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies 2. Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) 3. Use incognito/private browsing mode 4. Disable browser extensions 5. Check if the EDD website is down (use DownDetector) 6. Verify your personal information is up to date 7. Try logging in during off-peak hours (early morning or late night) 8. Use a desktop computer instead of a mobile device 9. Make sure your password meets all requirements 10. If all else fails, contact EDD directly Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more details on any of these steps.

I had a similar issue and it turned out there was a typo in my SSN on file. Took forever to get it fixed, but might be worth checking!

I had this exact same issue a few weeks ago! It's super frustrating. What worked for me was calling the EDD tech support line (not the regular claims line) at 1-800-300-5616. They have a separate technical support team that can help with login issues specifically. The wait time was still long, but they were able to reset something on their end that fixed the "information doesn't match" error. Also, make sure you're using the exact same spelling and formatting of your name as it appears on your original application - even small differences can cause this error. Good luck!

I ran into this same issue a couple months ago and it was driving me crazy! After trying all the usual browser fixes, I discovered that my middle initial was missing from my profile but I'd been including it when trying to log in. The EDD system is super picky about exact matches - even spaces, punctuation, and capitalization matter. Try logging in with just your first and last name if you normally include a middle name/initial, or vice versa. Also double-check that your birthdate format matches exactly (MM/DD/YYYY vs M/D/YYYY). It's ridiculous how sensitive their system is, but hopefully this helps!

•This is really helpful! I never thought about the exact formatting being so important. I've been including my middle initial when logging in, but maybe it's not in their system that way. I'll try different combinations of my name format and see if that does the trick. Thanks for the tip about the birthdate format too - these systems really are way too picky about minor details!

I just went through this nightmare last week! The "information doesn't match" error is usually caused by one of three things: 1) Your name format doesn't exactly match what's in their system (try with/without middle initial, check for extra spaces), 2) You might have accidentally created multiple accounts with slight variations, or 3) There's a data sync issue on their end. Before you spend hours troubleshooting, try logging in with EXACTLY the same info you used when you first applied - don't assume anything about formatting. If that doesn't work, you might need to call that tech support line someone mentioned earlier. The regular claims line can't help with login issues, but the tech support team can actually see what's causing the mismatch. Super annoying system but you'll get through it!

•This is exactly what I needed to hear! I've been pulling my hair out over this for days. I think you might be right about the formatting issue - I probably have been inconsistent with how I enter my name. I'm going to try going back to exactly what I put on my original application and see if that works. If not, I'll definitely call that tech support number. Thanks for breaking it down so clearly - it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who's dealt with this headache!

I went through this exact same frustration about a month ago! What finally worked for me was realizing that the EDD system had my address information slightly different than what I was entering. Turns out when I moved last year, I had updated my address with EDD but there was a small discrepancy - they had "Street" abbreviated as "St" while I was typing out the full word. Try checking if your address, phone number, or any other personal details might have minor differences from what's actually in their system. Also, if you've moved recently or changed any info, sometimes it takes their system a while to fully update everything. The whole thing is incredibly frustrating but don't give up! You might also want to try logging in during off-peak hours (like early morning) when their servers aren't as overloaded.

•Oh wow, the address thing makes so much sense! I bet that's exactly what's happening with me. I updated my address with EDD a few months ago when I moved, and I probably entered it differently than how they have it formatted in their system. I'm always inconsistent with abbreviations like "Street" vs "St" or "Avenue" vs "Ave". I'm going to double-check all my personal info and try different variations. Thanks for sharing your experience - it's such a relief to know there are actual solutions to this problem!

I had this exact same problem a few months back and it was so stressful! After trying everything mentioned here (clearing cache, different browsers, etc.), I discovered that the issue was with my Social Security Number - I had been entering it with dashes (XXX-XX-XXXX) but their system had it stored without dashes (XXXXXXXXX). It's crazy how picky their system is about formatting! Also, if you've ever had a name change (marriage, legal name change, etc.) make sure you're using the exact name that's on file with them, not necessarily what's on your current ID. The EDD system doesn't always sync up perfectly with other government databases. Try entering your info exactly as it appeared on your very first unemployment application - that's usually what's locked into their system. Hope this helps and you get it sorted out soon!

•The SSN formatting thing is huge! I never would have thought of that. I've definitely been entering it with dashes this whole time - that could totally be the issue. I'm going to try it without the dashes and see if that does the trick. It's honestly ridiculous how finicky their system is about these tiny formatting details, but at least now I have a bunch of specific things to try. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here - makes me feel way less alone in this struggle!

I've been battling this same login error for weeks and finally got it resolved! Here's what worked for me after trying everything else: I called the EDD tech support line at 1-800-300-5616 (like someone mentioned earlier) and they told me that my account had been flagged for "suspicious activity" just because I had too many failed login attempts. They were able to clear the flag and reset my account status over the phone. The rep also mentioned that if you try to log in more than 5 times with incorrect info in a short period, their system automatically locks you out and gives you the "information doesn't match" error even if you start entering the right info. So frustrating that they don't tell you this anywhere! If you've been trying to log in multiple times, you might need to wait 24-48 hours before trying again, or just call that tech support number. The wait was about 45 minutes but totally worth it to finally get back into my account. Don't give up!

•This is such valuable info! I had no idea about the 5 failed login attempts causing a lockout - that could totally be what happened to me. I've definitely tried logging in way more than 5 times over the past few days. I'm going to wait the 24-48 hours like you suggested before trying again, or maybe just bite the bullet and call that tech support number. It's crazy that they don't make this clearer anywhere on their website. Thanks for sharing what actually worked for you - gives me hope that there's light at the end of this tunnel!

I just dealt with this exact same issue last week and it was driving me absolutely insane! After reading through all these comments, I realized I was making the same mistakes everyone else mentioned. Here's what finally worked for me: I went back to my original unemployment application (I had saved a copy) and entered my information EXACTLY as it appeared there - same capitalization, same spacing, same abbreviations. Turns out I had been entering my street address as "1234 Main Street" but on my original application I had written "1234 Main St" - that tiny difference was enough to lock me out! Also, I was entering my SSN with dashes but apparently their system had it stored without them. The combination of fixing both the address format AND removing the dashes from my SSN did the trick. It's honestly ridiculous how picky their system is, but I'm just glad to finally be back in. For anyone still struggling, definitely try the exact formatting from your original application first before calling - it might save you hours on hold!

•This is exactly the kind of detailed breakdown I needed! I'm definitely guilty of being inconsistent with formatting - sometimes I use "Street" and sometimes "St", and I always include the dashes in my SSN. It never occurred to me that the EDD system would be THIS sensitive to minor formatting differences. I'm going to dig up my original application paperwork tonight and make sure I'm entering everything exactly as I did back then. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all the specific details of what worked - it's way more helpful than just hearing "try different formatting" without knowing what to look for!

This is such a helpful thread! I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now and it's been so frustrating. Reading through everyone's experiences, I think I've been making multiple mistakes - I've definitely tried logging in more than 5 times (didn't know about the automatic lockout!), I've been including dashes in my SSN, and I'm pretty sure I've been inconsistent with my address formatting. I'm going to wait 24 hours to let any potential lockout clear, then try entering everything exactly as it appeared on my original application. If that doesn't work, I'll call that tech support line at 1-800-300-5616. Thank you all for sharing your solutions - it's reassuring to know this is a common problem with actual fixes!

•I'm going through this exact same nightmare right now! It's so frustrating but reading everyone's solutions here has been a lifesaver. I think I've been making the same formatting mistakes - definitely guilty of the dashes in SSN and inconsistent address abbreviations. The 5 login attempt lockout thing is something I wish EDD would actually tell people about upfront instead of just giving that vague "information doesn't match" error. Going to try the 24-hour wait approach and then use my original application as reference. Fingers crossed! Thanks for putting this all together in one comment - super helpful summary! 🤞

I just went through this exact same issue about two weeks ago and it was incredibly frustrating! After reading through all these helpful comments, I want to add one more potential solution that worked for me. It turns out that when I originally applied for unemployment, I had accidentally left a trailing space after my last name in one of the fields. So when I was trying to log in with "Smith" the system was actually looking for "Smith " (with a space). I only figured this out after calling the tech support line and the rep walked through my account details with me. She mentioned that trailing spaces and even different capitalization patterns can cause this error. So if you've tried all the formatting suggestions here and nothing works, pay attention to any extra spaces you might have accidentally included in your original application. The EDD system is unforgivably picky about these tiny details, but once you get the exact match, it works perfectly. Don't give up - there's definitely a solution!

•Wow, a trailing space after your name?! That's incredibly specific but makes total sense given how finicky this system is. I never would have thought to check for something like that. It's honestly insane that such a tiny detail can lock you out of your account. I'm dealing with this same login nightmare right now and I'm going to be super careful about spaces when I try again. Did the tech support rep mention any other common formatting issues they see? This whole thread has been eye-opening about just how many different ways the EDD system can trip you up with formatting! Thanks for sharing this solution - hopefully it helps other people who are stuck even after trying all the other fixes.
