Can't change old email to register for UI Online - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing UI Online because I can't change my old email address. Has anyone else run into this issue? I'm trying to register but it's not letting me update my contact info. Any advice on how to fix this?

Ugh, I had the same problem! It's so frustrating when you can't even get into the system to file a claim. Have you tried calling the EDD directly? Sometimes they can update your info over the phone.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Here's what worked for me when I had a similar issue: 1. Go to the EDD website and click on 'Forgot Password' 2. Use your old email to request a password reset 3. Once you get the reset email, log in with your updated password 4. Immediately go to your account settings and update your email 5. Log out and log back in with your new email Hope this helps! idk if this helps, but I had to use my SSN instead of my email to log in when I first registered. Maybe try that?

I just went through this exact same thing last week! What finally worked for me was going to a local EDD office in person. I know it's a pain, but they were able to update my email address on the spot and I was able to register for UI Online immediately after. Might be worth checking if there's an office near you that's open for walk-ins. Saved me from the endless phone loop!
