EDD website glitch: SDI link redirects to Spanish unemployment page. How to check claim status?
Anyone else having trouble with the EDD website? I'm trying to check on my disability claim status but when I click on the State Disability link, it keeps sending me to the Spanish unemployment page. This is so frustrating! I just want to know if my payment is coming and how it'll be sent. Any tips on how to get through or fix this glitch?

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. Their website is a total mess. I had a similar issue last month when trying to certify for benefits. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird redirects.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

Hey everyone, I used to work in IT for a state agency (not California). Here's what I'd suggest: 1. Try different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) 2. Clear your cache and cookies 3. Use incognito/private browsing mode 4. Check if your adblocker or VPN is interfering 5. Try a different device if possible 6. If all else fails, call their tech support line Also, sometimes these issues are on their end and you just have to wait it out. Good luck!

I've been dealing with the same redirect issue! What worked for me was going directly to the EDD homepage and manually navigating to the SDI section instead of using any bookmarked links. Sometimes the old URLs get messed up when they update their site. Also, if you're still stuck, try accessing it through the "Benefits Online" portal - that's been more stable for me lately.
