EDD Disability Claim Status Not Updating Online - What to Do?
Has anyone else had trouble checking their disability claim status online? I've been trying to log in to my EDD account but I'm not seeing any updates or messages about my claim. It's been a few weeks and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel you. The EDD website is such a pain sometimes. Have you tried calling them directly? That's usually the best way to get actual info about your claim status.

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have to wait on hold for a while, but at least you'll get through eventually.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. I was going crazy trying to get through on my own.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep checking your online account daily. Sometimes updates appear without notification. 2. Send a message through the EDD website. It's slow, but they do respond eventually. 3. If you haven't already, make sure all your paperwork is submitted correctly. 4. Try calling early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Those are usually less busy times. 5. If you're really stuck, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. Hang in there! The disability claim process can be slow, but don't give up. 💪

•Contacting your state rep is legit advice. They helped me when I was stuck in EDD limbo for months.

PSA: If you're having trouble with your disability claim, make sure you've submitted all the required medical documentation. That was what held up my claim for weeks.

I'm dealing with the exact same issue! My claim has been stuck for about 3 weeks now with no updates. I've been checking the portal religiously but nothing changes. It's so stressful when you're already dealing with a disability and then have to worry about whether your claim is even being processed. Has anyone had success with the message system on the EDD website? I'm wondering if that might be faster than trying to call.

•I feel your pain! The waiting is the worst part, especially when you're already dealing with health issues. I tried the message system about 2 weeks ago and got a response in about 10 days - it's slow but at least you get something in writing. They mostly just told me to wait and that my claim was "under review" but it was better than nothing. Also, @Amina Sy mentioned checking your spam folder earlier - definitely do that! I almost missed an important email from them that way.
