EDD payments delayed today - anyone else's Money Network deposit missing?
Has anyone received their EDD payment today? I've been getting my benefits via Money Network card deposit consistently every Monday for the past 6 weeks, but nothing has shown up today. My certification was processed as 'paid' in the system yesterday. Trying not to panic, but I have rent due this Friday and I'm cutting it super close. Is there some kind of payment delay happening? Or is it just me?

nope nothing here either. certified sunday night and still showing as 'paid' in the system but no $$ on my card yet. weird cuz its always there by 10am mondays

I got my payment about an hour ago, but it was delayed from the usual time. Normally hits my account around 8AM but today it didn't show up until almost noon. Maybe check again? Sometimes the Money Network system has delays posting deposits even after EDD sends the funds.

This happens every few months when there's a bank holiday or system maintenance. Your money should arrive by tomorrow morning. I've been on UI three times over the years and these random delays pop up occasionally. As long as your UI Online account shows 'paid' status (not pending), your money is coming - just delayed in the banking system. The Money Network card isn't always reliable with instant notifications either.

MY PAYMENT IS ALWAYS LATE!!!! EDD is THE WORST with timing. sometimes monday, sometimes tuesday, sometimes wednesday. no rhyme or reason. called them about it once and the lady told me "payment processing can take up to 48 hours after certification" which is complete BS because it used to be clockwork until a month ago. system is broken!!!!!

•The system isn't broken, but there are occasional delays in the banking network. EDD usually processes payments within 24-48 hours after certification, but then it has to go through the Money Network system which is a separate entity. Direct deposit to regular bank accounts tends to be more consistent than the Money Network card deposits in my experience.

Just got off the phone with an EDD rep who confirmed there's a slight delay in payment processing today due to some system maintenance they're doing. She said all payments certified over the weekend should be deposited by end of day tomorrow. Hope this helps!

•I used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helps you get through to EDD representatives. Was skeptical at first but they actually got me connected to a real person in about 20 minutes instead of spending days trying to get through. •If your UI Online account status shows 'paid' already, I wouldn't waste time calling unless it doesn't arrive by tomorrow afternoon. The phone lines are always jammed and you'll likely get your deposit before you even reach someone. Bank processing delays aren't something EDD reps can speed up once they've released the payment on their end.

FYI for anyone still waiting - I just checked the EDD website and they posted a notice about temporary payment delays due to 'scheduled maintenance' on their payment processing system. Says all payments should be completed within 48 hours of showing 'paid' in the system. Mystery solved!
