EDD Login Issues: Can't Reset Password for Disability Claim Due to Forgotten Employment Dates
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my unemployment account. I can't log in to file a disability claim because I can't reset my password. The problem is I don't remember the dates of my prior employment or when I last got an unemployment check. It was during COVID when they stopped all the payments at once. I've tried contacting unemployment, but no one's been able to help me out. Anyone else run into this? Any ideas on what I can do?

Ugh, I feel your pain! 😫 The EDD system is such a nightmare. Have you tried calling their tech support line? Sometimes they can verify your identity another way.

•I've been trying to get through for days, but no luck. It's always busy or they hang up on me. 😞

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and be ready to dial! 💯

I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Gather any old documents you can find - tax returns, old emails, anything with dates on it. 2. Write down a rough timeline of your employment history. 3. Call EDD and explain your situation. Be patient and polite. 4. Ask if they can verify your identity using your SSN and other personal info. 5. If all else fails, request a password reset by mail. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more advice.

•This is solid advice right here 👆 EDD agents can usually work with you if you're upfront about not remembering exact dates.

have you tried using the 'forgot password' option on the website? sometimes it asks different security questions

Man, the EDD is such a joke. They make it impossible to get help when you need it most. The whole system needs an overhaul! 🤬

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical too, but I was desperate. It worked for me!

•20 bucks tho? 😬 That's steep for something that should be free.

•@profile 11 I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally talk to someone after weeks of trying.
