How to recover NY unemployment login when you've completely forgotten everything?

I had the exact problem last summer. If you cant remember anything, you might need to create a whole new NY.gov ID account and then call them to link it to your claim. Its a pain but it worked for me.

This might sound dumb but have you tried checking your browser password manager or maybe your email for when you first signed up? Sometimes there's confirmation emails that have your username in them. Also check if you wrote it down somewhere.

I had the same problem and found out they have a separate system for recovering BOTH username and password. You have to call the tech support line not the regular unemployment line. The number is different. I think it's on their website under technical support or something.

After verification, they can reset everything and get you back into your account The key is actually talking to a human. The automated systems are intentionally difficult to navigate. Don't create a new account as this often causes more problems with your existing claim.

the same thing happened to me!!! try looking at txt messages too, sometimes they send confirmations that way. also check your phone notes app, thats where i found mine.

You're SOL without talking to a live agent. I had to use claimyr.com to get through after trying for weeks. Only way to reset everything when you don't know username.

NY unemployment is a total dumpster fire. If i were you i'd just try making completely new account with different email and phone number. thats what i did when i couldnt get into mine.

i had good luck emailing my state representative about my unemployment login issues. they have special liaisons with the dept and fixed my account in 3 days after i tried for weeks on my own

Have you checked if you maybe wrote down your login info somewhere? I found mine in an old notebook after tearing apart my apartment lol. Also check your phone notes app if you use that
