EDD Callback Service: Paid but No Call - What to Do?
Has anyone else not received their EDD calls? I paid for a callback service last week and still haven't heard anything. The payment went through on my card, but I haven't gotten any calls from EDD. I'm starting to get worried. Anyone else experiencing this or know what I should do?

•Yup, right there with ya. It's like a full-time job just trying to get what we're owed.

•Have you tried meditation? It helps me deal with the stress. That and screaming into a pillow 🙃

•Self-care is so important during such stressful times. Maybe consider yoga or breathing exercises too?

Hey OP, what callback service did you use? I'm in the same boat and considering trying one out.

•I've heard mixed things about those services. Some say they work, others say its a waste of $$$. Let us know how it goes!

•If you end up using multiple services, it'd be great to hear a comparison of which worked best.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. (https://claimyr.com

•Sounds sketchy. Is it legit? $20 seems steep just to make a call.

•Totally get the skepticism, but it's legit. I was desperate and took the chance. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How long did it take for them to call you back?

•It took about 2 hours, but beats spending all day trying to get through!

•I tried Claimyr recently and it took slightly longer than expected, so maybe it's also about timing during peak hours.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, emailing, and trying different methods. 2. Document EVERYTHING. Every call, email, and interaction. 3. Use their online portal if possible. Sometimes it's faster than calling. 4. If you paid for a service, follow up with them. They might have additional steps you need to take. 5. Check your mail regularly. Sometimes they send important info via snail mail (I know, it's 2023, right? 🙄) 6. Join EDD-related Facebook groups or subreddits. You can get real-time updates and tips from others in the same boat. 7. If all else fails, consider reaching out to your local assemblyperson or state senator. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but don't give up!

•Great advice! I'd add: be prepared for long hold times. Have a book or Netflix ready lol

•It might also help to have a digital record of everything, like using an app to store all your documents.

•I heard some groups are filing lawsuits against EDD. Maybe that's what it takes to see real change.

•It's important to remember the systemic issues with EDD can't just be solved by seeking new employment.

Guys, I think I cracked the code. If you call and press 2, then 7, then 1, then do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around, you might get through to a real person. Maybe. Possibly. Probably not. 🤣

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails end up there. Also, make sure the phone number you gave them is correct.

•Good idea, but I already checked. Nothing in spam and I triple-checked the number. Still nada 😞

It's understandable to feel frustrated when dealing with EDD, especially given the backlog and delays. Callback services like Claimyr can be beneficial as they allow you to bypass long hold times. However, it's important to manage expectations: while many users report success using Claimyr, the service doesn't guarantee immediate results and the waiting time can vary based on demand and timing. Additionally, while the $20 fee might seem high, for some, the time and stress saved is worth the cost. It's crucial to follow up with the callback service if delays persist and ensure all your contact information is accurate and up-to-date. Ultimately, using Claimyr is just one part of an approach to manage EDD issues, alongside regularly checking communication channels, documenting interactions, and reaching out to local representatives for assistance when needed.

Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes you gotta be persistent and keep calling until you get through.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? It's like they're trolling us at this point 🤡

I'm in a similar situation - paid for a callback service about 10 days ago and still haven't heard anything. It's really frustrating, especially when you're already stressed about EDD issues. I've been checking my phone constantly and even called the service to confirm they have the right number. They said they're experiencing high demand and to be patient, but it's hard when you need answers. Has anyone had success disputing charges with their credit card company if these services don't deliver? I'm starting to wonder if I should just keep trying the traditional route of calling EDD directly, even though it's been impossible to get through.

•I totally feel your frustration! 10 days is way too long to wait after paying for a service. Regarding disputing charges - yes, you can definitely dispute with your credit card company if the service isn't delivered as promised. Most companies have a process for "services not rendered" disputes. I'd suggest giving the callback service one more chance to deliver (maybe set a deadline like 2-3 more days), then if nothing happens, initiate a chargeback. Keep all your documentation - payment confirmations, any communication with the service, etc. In the meantime, maybe try calling EDD super early in the morning? I've heard some people have luck around 8:01 AM right when they open. Hang in there! 🤞

I'm dealing with something similar - used a callback service about a week ago and still waiting. The anxiety is real! One thing I've learned from reading these threads is that these services can take longer than expected, especially during peak times. I'm giving mine until the end of this week before I consider disputing the charge. In the meantime, I've been documenting everything - screenshots of the payment, confirmation emails, etc. It's frustrating because we're already dealing with EDD stress and then have to worry about whether these paid services even work. Solidarity to everyone going through this nightmare! 💪
