Anyone received their EDD payment today? Money Network deposit still pending
Been checking my Money Network card all morning but still nothing showing up. Certified on Sunday at 12:01am like I always do for my biweekly UI benefits. Usually hits my account by Tuesday morning, but it's already 11:30am and still nothing. Bank account balance getting scary low. Anyone else seeing delays with their payments today or is it just me? This is week 15 of my claim if that matters.

mine just hit like 20 mins ago, check again maybe? sometimes they batch process them throughout the day

The EDD payment system is experiencing delays this week due to a scheduled maintenance they announced on their website. Payments are being processed but might take 24-48 hours longer than usual. I'd recommend checking your UI Online account to confirm the payment has been authorized - if it says 'paid' there, the money will eventually reach your Money Network card.

•Just checked UI Online and it does say 'paid' as of yesterday afternoon. That's a relief! Wish they'd send an email about these maintenance delays though.

I switched from Money Network card to direct deposit last month and get my payments much faster now. Typically hits my bank account on Monday afternoons. The setup process was super easy through UI Online - just needed my routing and account numbers. Might be worth considering if these delays are causing you hardship.

•Nope! It's just a payment preference change, doesn't affect your claim status at all. The option is under 'Payment Methods' in your UI Online account.

this happens EVERY MONTH!!! EDD is the WORST!!! i certified sunday too and still nothing in my account. called them 27 times today and cant get through to a single person. their phone system is a joke

I got my payment at exactly 10:45am today. I'm on regular UI benefits and use direct deposit instead of Money Network. What I've noticed is that they seem to process payments in batches based on the last digit of your SSN or something. My roommate always gets hers about 2-3 hours after mine hits. Have you checked if your certification status says 'paid' in UI Online? That's always the first indicator before the money arrives.

my payment was late last week to. i think they sometimes have issues with the payment processing company or whatever. usually sorts itself out by wed at the latest. dont stress out yet

Update: EDD just posted on Twitter that all pending payments from yesterday and today should be processed by end of business day. They apologized for the delay and mentioned it was related to their quarterly system update. For future reference, their Twitter account (@CA_EDD) often has the most current status updates when these kinds of delays happen.
