EDD payment delays today - certification went through but nothing deposited on Money Network card

Anyone else certified on Sunday and still waiting for payment to hit their Money Network card? I usually get my UI deposit by Tuesday evening around 9:30pm, but it's already past that time and nothing's showing up. My UI Online account shows 'paid' status, but my card balance hasn't updated. Last payment was exactly on time two weeks ago. Getting worried because I've got rent due in three days and was counting on this money. Is the system glitching or are payments delayed across the board this week?

Glad I'm not alone but this is so stressful. Have you tried checking your payment activity on UI Online to see if it shows a transaction number at least?

This happened a couple months ago too. Sometimes the bank processing takes an extra day especially around holidays or end of month. Don't panic yet, it'll probably show up tomorrow morning. EDD processes payments in batches and sometimes the later batches get delayed.

Yea but its NOT a holiday week and my payment has been consistent every 2 weeks for literally 6 months now. something is definitely wrong with there system this week, my friend is having same problem!!!

Before you panic, check if your payment shows as 'paid' in UI Online under Payment Activity. If it shows 'paid' with a transaction number, your money is on the way but might be delayed 24-48 hours. This has been happening frequently since EDD upgraded their systems in February 2025. A few troubleshooting steps: 1. Verify your Money Network card is still active 2. Check if you have any outstanding ID verification or quarterly form issues 3. Make sure you answered all certification questions correctly If your payment doesn't arrive by Thursday morning, you should definitely contact EDD directly to check if there's a hold on your claim.

Thanks for the detailed response. My UI Online does show 'paid' with a transaction number from yesterday morning. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow, but I'm still nervous. The quarterly form thing might be it - I think I just submitted my DE 1800Q last week. Maybe that's causing the delay?

I waited 3 WEEKS for a payment in March because of a 'system flag' that nobody told me about! Had to call EDD like 50 times before finally getting through. The regular number is completely useless - always says they're too busy and hangs up on you. I finally used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to a real EDD rep in under 25 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km The rep was able to see there was a random flag on my account that was holding up payment and they removed it right away. Money was on my card the next day.

THANK YOU for updating! Just checked and mine came through too, about 4 hours later than usual. Such a relief! Seems like they're just running behind schedule this week.

There's actually a pattern to how EDD processes payments. They do them in batches based on the last digit of your SSN, and sometimes the later batches get delayed if there are processing issues. If your UI Online account shows 'paid' status, you don't need to worry - the money is coming, just delayed. The Money Network system can also lag by 4-6 hours from when EDD releases the funds to when they actually appear on your card. Their system updates in cycles, not continuously. What many people don't realize is that Bank of America is no longer handling EDD cards - Money Network is still working out some kinks in their processing system. This is why some weeks are perfectly on time and others have these random delays.

UPDATE: Payment came through around midnight, about 4 hours later than usual. For anyone else experiencing delays, hang tight - looks like they're just running behind this week. Thanks everyone for the help and information!

Glad it worked out! Always seems like EDD issues resolve themselves right after you start panicking lol
