PFL claim verification nightmare - can't reach anyone on phone, help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my paid family leave claim. I got a call from the agency saying they needed to verify some info, but I missed it cause I was at work. Now I can't get through to them no matter how many times I call. The line is always jammed. They want to confirm I haven't gone back to work at either of my jobs (yeah, I've got two). Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips on how to actually reach a human being there?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through to them for weeks. It's like they don't want us to actually use the benefits we're entitled to. Have you tried calling right when they open? I've heard that can sometimes work.

Yeah, I've tried that a few times. No luck so far. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call 2 minutes before they open. Sometimes you can get in the queue early that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through. Worth every penny imho.

How long did you have to wait with this service?

It took about 2 hours total, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with the PFL folks: • Call early in the morning, like right when they open • If you get a busy signal, hang up and immediately redial • Keep detailed notes of every call attempt (date, time, result) • If you have access to multiple phones, try calling from different numbers • Check their website for any online options to verify info • Consider reaching out to your local representative for help It's a pain, but persistence is key. Don't give up!

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try some of these strategies.

I'm in the exact same boat! Two jobs, can't get through on the phone. It's maddening. Let me know if you figure out a solution!

Will do! Fingers crossed one of us cracks the code soon šŸ¤ž

Plot twist: what if we all show up at their office? They can't ignore us then! šŸ˜‚

This is why the system is broken. They make it so hard to access benefits that people just give up. It's probably by design tbh.

Preach! šŸ™Œ It's like they're hoping we'll just go away

Have you tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes public shaming works wonders 😈

Pro tip: if you have a friend who speaks another language, try calling the non-English line. Sometimes those have shorter wait times.

Isn't that kinda unethical tho?
