PFL claim processing delays - Paid for phone service just to get an update from EDD

Anyone else frustrated with the delays in processing PFL claims? I've been waiting forever and it's driving me crazy. I tried sending messages through their website but got no response. Finally had to pay for a service just to get someone on the phone. It's ridiculous that this is what it takes to get any information about our claims. Has anyone else had to resort to extreme measures just to get an update?

I found a way to solve PFL claim processing delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg0dvmLyf0E

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with EDD for months now. It's like they're purposely ignoring us. Have you tried calling them directly? I heard some people have luck if they call right when they open.

I tried calling so many times, but always got the 'we're experiencing high call volume' message. It's impossible to get through!

Same here! I set my alarm for 7:55 am and started dialing at 8:00 am sharp. Still no luck after a week of trying 😫

Wow, that's rough. Maybe we should all show up at their office in person lol šŸ¤”

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure its legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too. But I was desperate and gave it a shot. It worked for me! Got through to an agent in about 2 hours.

How does it work exactly? Do you have to keep your phone line open the whole time?

Nope, that's the beauty of it. You just enter your phone number and they call you when an agent picks up. You can go about your day while it waits on hold for you.

The whole system is broken. I've been waiting 12 weeks for my claim to be processed. How are we supposed to survive like this?

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative? I've heard some people have had success getting their claims expedited that way.

I tried that last month. Got a generic response saying they'd look into it, but nothing happened. šŸ™„

It worked for me! Took about 3 weeks, but my rep's office was able to get my claim pushed through. Def worth a shot!

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for the past 6 months: • Persistence is key. Keep calling, keep sending messages, don't give up. • Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. • Use multiple channels - phone, online messages, snail mail, fax (yes, they still use fax!). • Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. • Join Facebook groups or forums for EDD claimants. You can get good tips and support. • Consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above if you're really stuck. • If all else fails, contact your local representative or the EDD ombudsman. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is overwhelmed, but keep fighting for what you're entitled to!

Wait, they still use fax? What year is it? šŸ˜‚

Anyone else notice that the EDD website is always 'under maintenance' when you actually need to use it? šŸ™„

OMG YES! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna log in and shut it down just to mess with me 😤

Pro tip: if you're gonna use that claimyr service, do it early in the morning. I got through in like 30 minutes when I called at 8:15am!

I'm starting to think carrier pigeons might be more reliable than the EDD at this point... 🐦

Lol, don't give them ideas. Next thing you know, they'll be asking us to send our claims via pigeon post 🤣
