EDD Payment 3 Months Late - Notice Received but No Money. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I submitted a claim back in December and got a notice saying I'd be paid in February. It's now way past that and I still haven't seen a dime. Anyone else dealing with this? I've tried calling but can't get through. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. I swear they're always behind on everything. Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes they update stuff there before sending anything out.

•Yeah, I've been checking my account like a hawk. Nothing new there either. It's so frustrating!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! There's this site called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials through the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? Idk man, seems steep for something that should be free.

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get some answers. Time is money, you know?

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Send a written request for update via certified mail. This creates a paper trail. 3. Contact your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 4. If all else fails, file a complaint with the state labor board. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them ignore you!

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds ancient, but I got a response within a week after I faxed my inquiry. Worth a shot!

I heard they're super backlogged because of some new system update. Might be why everyones payments are delayed. Doesn't make it suck any less tho.

•Always an excuse with them. Why can't they ever get their act together?

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week. Good luck!
