EDD payment stopped since Nov 7 - no updates on claim status. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I haven't gotten any payments since November 7th, and it's been radio silence. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my claim status. Any advice on how to get through to someone or what might be causing the delay?

Ugh, I feel you. I was in the same boat last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare getting through, but it's the only way I got answers.

•I've been trying to call for days, but no luck. It's so frustrating. How long did it take you to get through?

•It took me like 3 days of non-stop calling. I literally had to put my life on hold just to get someone on the phone. It's ridiculous.

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I got through on my second try doing that.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's steep. Is it really worth it?

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. The $20 was worth it to actually talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's a flag on your claim that needs to be addressed. It could be something simple like needing to verify your identity.

This is getting ridiculous. The system is so broken. I've been waiting since October for a resolution on my claim. It's like they don't even care that people are struggling to pay bills and put food on the table. 😡

•Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul. It's not equipped to handle the volume of claims.

•Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research: 1. Check your online account for any pending tasks or messages. 2. Make sure all your certifications are up to date. 3. If you've had any change in income, even temporary, report it immediately. 4. Try calling early in the morning or late in the afternoon - those tend to be less busy times. 5. If you can't get through on the phone, try sending a message through the online portal. 6. Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, what was said. 7. If all else fails, contact your local state representative or senator's office. They often have liaisons who can help with unemployment issues. Hang in there, OP. The system is overwhelmed, but persistence usually pays off.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds old school, but it worked for me when I couldn't get through on the phone.

•What year is it? 1995? 😂 But for real, if it works, it works.
