Tips for checking SDI claim status over the phone? Nervous about the call!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to check the status of my SDI claim and I'm not sure what to say when I finally get through to someone. Does anyone have any tips on what I should ask or how to approach the conversation? I'm a bit nervous about the call and want to make sure I get all the information I need. Thanks in advance for any help!

I've been through this before. Here's a quick script you can use: 1. Introduce yourself and state why you're calling 2. Provide your claim number 3. Ask for the current status of your claim 4. Find out if they need any additional documents from you 5. Ask about next steps or timeline Hope this helps! Good luck with your call.

•Great advice! I'd add: write down the name of the person you talk to and get a reference number for the call if possible. It helps if you need to follow up later.

Ugh, I feel your pain. The SDI system is such a mess rn. I've been waiting on my claim for months. Anyone else in the same boat?

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way. Also, be super nice to the rep - they deal with angry people all day and might be more helpful if you're friendly.

Hey guys, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I got through in a couple hours. Worth every penny imo.

Anyone else notice that the SDI website is always "under maintenance" when you try to check your claim status online? 🙄 It's like they're allergic to technology or something.

•Conspiracy theory: the website is run by hamsters on wheels and they're always on break 🐹💤

Here's a crazy idea: what if we all showed up at the SDI office in person? Like a flash mob, but for claims 😂 Maybe then they'd get their act together!
