SDI claim stuck due to lost form and E324 error - Help needed to fix and continue benefits
I need help fixing my SDI claim to continue receiving benefits. I sent in two forms to continue my claim, but one got lost in the mail. Now I can't even register for an SDI online account because of some E324 error code. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Plot twist: the E324 error is actually a secret code meaning "we've decided to keep all your money" 🕵️♂️💸

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Wait, you have to pay to talk to EDD? That sounds sketchy af 🤔

•I know it sounds weird, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did it take to get connected using that service?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

•It's convenient but maybe not the best option for everyone. I would weigh the cost versus potential frustration.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all forms you've sent and note down every interaction with EDD. 2. For the lost form, call EDD and ask for a replacement. Explain the situation and request expedited processing. 3. Regarding the E324 error: - Double-check all your personal info (name, SSN, DOB) for accuracy - Clear your browser cache and try registering again - If it persists, it might be a system issue on their end 4. Keep calling EDD. Use the trick someone mentioned about calling right at 8 AM. 5. Consider using the paid service mentioned if you're really stuck. 6. As a last resort, contact your local assembly member or state senator's office for assistance. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

Hey, former EDD employee here. The E324 error usually means there's a discrepancy in your personal info. Double-check everything, especially your SSN. If it all looks correct on your end, you'll need to call in to have them manually review and update your info.

•Thank you so much for the insider info! I'll definitely double-check everything.

That E324 error is a pain in the butt. I had the same issue. Turns out there was a mismatch between my SSN and name in their system. Had to call and get them to fix it manually.

Protip: If you're having trouble with the online system, try accessing it during off-peak hours. Like 2 AM on a Tuesday. Sometimes it works better when there's less traffic.

Have you tried faxing the forms instead of mailing them? Sometimes that works better and you can get a confirmation that they received it.

Emma Thompson
•I didn't even think about faxing! Do you know if they have a fax number?

•Yep, here's the fax number: 1-855-342-3057. Good luck!

•Faxing can be more reliable, but make sure to keep a copy of the fax confirmation for your records.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through with EDD.

An authoritative comment to help with your issue: The EDD system has been notoriously difficult to navigate, but there are steps you can take to resolve your SDI claim issue. First, re-verify all personal details that you've entered, especially your SSN, name, and date of birth. Any inconsistency could lead to an E324 error. If you're unable to resolve it online, continued attempts to reach EDD via phone are unfortunately necessary. The service provided by Claimyr has received mixed reviews, but it can be an effective tool to skip the long hold times, albeit for a fee. Documenting all interactions and keeping records of forms, calls, and sent faxes is crucial. Additionally, contacting your local assembly member could expedite your issue's resolution. Lastly, faxing important documents is recommended to ensure receipt acknowledgment. Persistence and a systematic approach will be your best allies in dealing with EDD.

I've been dealing with EDD issues for months now and I feel your pain! For the E324 error, I had success by completely clearing my browser data (cookies, cache, everything) and then trying to register using a different browser entirely. Sometimes their system gets confused with stored data. Also, make sure you're entering your info EXACTLY as it appears on your Social Security card - even spacing matters with these old systems. For the lost form, definitely call and ask for expedited processing, but also consider hand-delivering a replacement to your local EDD office if there's one nearby. They can't "lose" something you put directly in their hands! Don't give up - I know it's exhausting but you'll get through this! 💪

•This is really helpful advice! I hadn't thought about trying a completely different browser. I've been using Chrome this whole time - maybe I should try Firefox or Safari. The tip about entering info exactly as it appears on the Social Security card is gold too. I bet that's where a lot of people mess up. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! 🙏

I went through the exact same E324 nightmare last month! Here's what finally worked for me: First, try using an incognito/private browsing window - sometimes cached data messes with their system. Second, double-check that your name matches EXACTLY what's on your Social Security card, including any middle names or suffixes. For the lost form situation, I'd recommend both faxing a replacement (the fax number someone mentioned above is correct) AND sending it via certified mail so you have proof of delivery. Also, if you have any recent paystubs or tax documents, have those ready when you call - it helps verify your identity faster. The 8 AM calling strategy really does work better than calling later in the day. Hang in there, the system is broken but you WILL get through this! 🤞

•This is incredibly thorough advice, thank you! The incognito window tip is brilliant - I never would have thought of that but it makes total sense that cached data could be interfering. I'm definitely going to try both the fax AND certified mail approach for the replacement form. Better to be redundant than sorry at this point! I've got my paystubs ready and I'm setting my alarm for 7:59 AM tomorrow. Really appreciate you sharing what worked for you - it gives me hope that there's actually a way through this mess! 🙌

I'm going through something similar right now and it's absolutely maddening! The E324 error has been blocking me for weeks. Based on what everyone's sharing here, I'm going to try the incognito browser approach and double-check that my info matches my Social Security card exactly. It's crazy that we have to jump through so many hoops just to access benefits we're entitled to. @Emma Thompson - definitely try calling right at 8 AM like others suggested, and having multiple backup plans (fax, certified mail, etc.) seems like the way to go. This whole thread has been more helpful than anything I've found on the official EDD website! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and tips 🤝

•@Andre Dupont You re'so right about this thread being more helpful than the official website! It s'honestly wild that we have to crowdsource solutions like this just to navigate a basic government system. I m'planning to try all these tips too - the incognito browser thing especially sounds promising since I ve'been banging my head against the same error for days. Really grateful for everyone sharing their experiences here. Makes me feel less alone in this bureaucratic nightmare! Good luck with your claim - hopefully we ll'all get through this mess soon 🤞

Hey Emma! I just went through this exact same situation a few weeks ago and finally got it resolved. For the E324 error, try these steps in order: 1) Use a completely different device (like your phone instead of computer), 2) Make sure you're entering your name EXACTLY as it appears on your most recent tax return - not your Social Security card, but your tax return (this was my issue!), 3) Try registering during off-peak hours like 2-3 AM when their servers aren't overloaded. For the lost form, call the SDI line at 1-800-480-3287 right at 8:00 AM sharp and ask them to flag your case as "urgent replacement needed" - use those exact words. They have a special process for lost mail situations. Also, when you do get someone on the phone, ask them to add a note to your file about the E324 error so the next person you talk to has context. I know it's frustrating but don't give up - you're closer than you think! 💪

•@Rosie Harper This is exactly the kind of detailed, step-by-step help I was hoping for! The tip about using your tax return name instead of Social Security card name is fascinating - I never would have thought there could be a difference, but government systems are weird like that. I m'definitely going to try the different device approach too since I ve'only been using my laptop. The urgent "replacement needed phrase" is super helpful - having the exact wording to use when I call makes me feel way more prepared. Thank you so much for taking the time to share what actually worked for you. It s'people like you who make this community invaluable! 🙏

I'm dealing with a similar E324 error right now and this thread has been a lifesaver! I've tried the basic troubleshooting but hadn't thought about using a different device or checking the tax return vs Social Security card name difference. That's such a specific detail that could totally be the issue. Emma, based on everyone's advice here, it sounds like the multi-pronged approach is key - try the technical fixes (different browser, incognito mode, different device) while also pursuing the phone/fax/certified mail routes simultaneously. The fact that multiple people have actually resolved the E324 error gives me hope that there IS a solution, it's just a matter of finding the right combination of steps. Thanks to everyone sharing their experiences - this is way more helpful than any official EDD guidance I've found!

•@Ella Lewis Absolutely agree! This thread has been incredibly helpful - it s'amazing how the community comes together to share real solutions when the official channels fall short. I m'planning to try the different device approach tonight, and I ll'definitely check my tax return vs Social Security card for any name discrepancies. The systematic approach everyone s'outlined here technical (fixes + multiple submission methods + strategic calling times seems) like the best way forward. It s'so reassuring to know that others have actually gotten through the E324 error - gives me hope that persistence will pay off! Thanks to everyone for sharing these detailed experiences and tips. This is exactly what people going through this nightmare need to see! 🙌
