SDI Online Error E324 - Request Can't Be Processed. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI claim online. I keep getting this error message E324 saying my request can't be processed. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix it or what I should do next?

Ugh, I had the same issue last month. It's so frustrating! Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird online errors.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try and see if it helps. Fingers crossed 🤞

E324 usually means theres a problem with your personal info not matching whats in their system. Double check all your details, especially your SSN and birthdate. If everything looks correct, you might need to call and speak with an agent to fix it.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 🤡

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

can you give more details about how it works? do they just keep calling until they get through?

Yeah, basically. They have some automated system that navigates the phone tree and stays on hold. When a real person picks up, it connects to your phone. Beats sitting on hold for hours!

Have you tried submitting your claim during off-peak hours? Like really early in the morning or late at night? Sometimes the system gets overloaded during business hours and throws random errors.

That's a good idea, I'll try submitting it tonight after midnight. Thanks for the tip!

Ive been dealing with SDI issues for months now. heres what I've learned: 1. Keep trying online at different times of day 2. Double-check ALL your info 3. If you cant get through online, you gotta call 4. Be prepared to wait on hold for hours 5. Document everything - dates, times, who you talked to 6. If all else fails, contact your local representatives office Good luck, OP. The system is a mess rn 😤

This is solid advice. I'd add: take screenshots of any errors you get. It can help when you finally talk to someone.

anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? 🤔

100% agree. Its a feature, not a bug 🙄

Nah, I think its just outdated tech and understaffing. Still sucks tho

Pro tip: if you can't get through online or by phone, try faxing your claim. Old school, I know, but sometimes it works when nothing else does.

Most libraries still have them! Or you can use an online fax service. Welcome to the future of the past 😂

I had the exact same E324 error a few weeks ago! What finally worked for me was using a different browser entirely. I was using Chrome and kept getting the error, but when I switched to Firefox it went through no problem. Also make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might be blocking scripts. The EDD website is pretty finicky with ad blockers and privacy extensions. Hope this helps!

Oh wow, switching browsers never occurred to me! I've been banging my head against the wall with Chrome this whole time. Definitely going to try Firefox tonight. Thanks for the tip about the extensions too - I do have uBlock Origin running so that might be part of the problem. Really appreciate you sharing what worked for you!

I've been dealing with E324 errors for weeks now and what finally worked for me was a combination of things: 1) Used incognito/private browsing mode, 2) Disabled all browser extensions, 3) Tried submitting around 6 AM when server load is lighter, and 4) Made sure my address matched EXACTLY what's on file with Social Security (including apartment number format). The address thing was key - even having "Apt 5" instead of "#5" can trigger this error. If none of that works, calling first thing Monday morning at 8 AM sharp gives you the best shot at getting through. Good luck!

This is super helpful! I never would have thought about the address formatting being so picky. I've been struggling with this same error and I bet that's my issue - I have "Unit B" in my address but maybe EDD has it as "#B" or something. Going to double check how my address appears on my Social Security records and make sure it matches exactly. The early morning submission tip is gold too. Thanks for taking the time to share all these details!

I ran into this exact same E324 error last year and it drove me absolutely crazy! After trying everything mentioned here (different browsers, clearing cache, calling for hours), what finally solved it for me was logging into my EDD account and updating my security questions. Apparently if your security info is outdated or incomplete, it can trigger this error even though the system doesn't tell you that's the problem. Also, make sure your phone number on file is current - I had an old number that was causing issues. Once I updated everything in my profile settings, the E324 error disappeared and I could submit my claim normally. Worth a shot if nothing else is working!

This is such a great point about the security questions! I've been focused on all the technical stuff but hadn't thought about my profile settings. I'm pretty sure my phone number might be outdated - I changed carriers a few months ago and got a new number but never updated it with EDD. Going to log in right now and check all my account info. Sometimes it's the simple things we overlook. Thanks for sharing what worked for you!
