SDI ERROR E 318 when registering online - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble registering online for SDI benefits. I keep getting an ERROR E 318 message when I try to submit my application. Has anyone else run into this issue? Any tips on how to get past it? I've tried multiple times and it's really frustrating. I need to get my claim filed ASAP. Any help would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve ERROR E 318 registration issue, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwV85mtwQkI

Ugh, I had the same problem last month! It's so annoying. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? That worked for me after like a million attempts 🙄

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try. Did you have to start the whole application over again after clearing everything?

Nah, luckily it saved my progress. Just make sure you're logged out before you clear everything. Good luck!

This worked for me too! Make sure ur using chrome or firefox tho. The site hates internet explorer lol

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. I was desperate after trying for weeks to get through. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

How long did you have to wait for the callback? I'm considering trying this.

It took about 2 hours for me, but it beats spending all day hitting redial! They guarantee a call within 48 business hours or you get a refund.

ERROR E 318 is usually related to identity verification issues. Double-check all your personal info (SSN, DOB, etc.) is entered correctly. If it still doesn't work, you might need to verify your identity in person at an SDI office. It sucks, but sometimes that's the only way to get it sorted.

have u tried using a difrent device? sometims the website acts up on certain phones or computers. maybe try ur laptop if ur using ur phone or vice versa

Good idea, I'll give that a shot. I've only been trying on my laptop so far. Fingers crossed 🤞

The SDI online system is such a joke 🤡 I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. I've been dealing with issues for MONTHS. Good luck, OP!

PREACH 👏👏👏 The whole system needs an overhaul. It's 2023, why is it still so hard to file a simple claim online???

Idk about that. I think they're just understaffed and working with outdated tech. Still frustrating tho

Here's what I've learned about ERROR E 318 and how to potentially resolve it: 1. First, make sure all your personal information is 100% accurate. Even a small typo can trigger this error. 2. Try using a different browser. Chrome and Firefox tend to work best with the SDI website. 3. Clear your browser cache and cookies before attempting to register again. 4. If possible, use a desktop or laptop computer instead of a mobile device. 5. Check your internet connection. A unstable connection can sometimes cause this error. 6. If none of the above work, you may need to verify your identity in person. You can schedule an appointment at your local SDI office. 7. As a last resort, you can try calling the SDI helpline, but be prepared for long wait times. If you're still stuck after trying these steps, you might want to consider using a service like Claimyr to get through to a representative faster. It costs money, but it could save you a lot of time and frustration. Hope this helps! Let us know if you manage to resolve the issue.

Anyone else feel like we need a support group for dealing with SDI website errors? 😅 We could call it 'Error Code Anonymous' or something lol

I had this exact same error last week! What finally worked for me was logging out completely, waiting about 30 minutes, then logging back in using an incognito/private browser window. Something about the session data getting corrupted was causing the E 318 error. Also make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might interfere with the form submission - I had to disable my ad blocker temporarily. Hope this helps and you get it sorted soon!

This is really helpful! I never would have thought about browser extensions causing issues. I have a bunch of them running - definitely going to try disabling them and using incognito mode. The 30 minute wait time tip is interesting too. Did you have to start your application over from scratch or did it save your progress?

I just went through this nightmare last month! ERROR E 318 drove me absolutely crazy. What finally worked for me was a combination of things: 1) Called my bank to make sure there were no fraud alerts on my account (apparently the SDI system sometimes triggers these), 2) Used a completely different email address than the one I initially tried with, and 3) Made sure I was filling out the form during off-peak hours (like early morning or late evening when their servers aren't as overloaded). The whole process took me about 2 weeks to figure out, but once I got past that error, the rest went smoothly. Don't give up - you'll get through this!
