SDI Error E313 Preventing Claim Submission - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble filing my SDI claim. I keep getting this error code E313 and it won't let me submit anything. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix it or what I should do next? I'm getting pretty frustrated here.

I found a way to solve SDI claim error E313, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqqtugBREIU

Ugh, I had the same issue last month. It's so annoying! Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? That worked for me after I banged my head against the wall for like 2 days 🤦‍♂️

0 coins

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot. Did you have to re-enter all your info after clearing everything?

0 coins

Nah, it remembered most of my stuff. Just had to log back in. Good luck!

0 coins

This worked for me too! Make sure you restart your browser after clearing everything.

E313 is usually a system error on their end. You might need to wait a few hours or try again the next day. The SDI website is notoriously glitchy 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone about this! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

0 coins

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

0 coins

It took about 45 minutes for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than doing it yourself!

Have you tried filing at different times of the day? Sometimes the system gets overloaded during peak hours. I had better luck super early in the morning.

0 coins

I haven't thought of that. What time did you try?

0 coins

I logged on around 5:30 AM and it went through smoothly. Might be worth a shot!

Okay, let me break this down for you. Error E313 is typically related to system maintenance or high traffic. Here's what you can try: • Wait a few hours and try again • Clear your browser cache and cookies • Use a different browser or device • Try during off-peak hours (early morning or late night) • Make sure all your info is correct and complete • If all else fails, you might need to call them directly If none of these work, it could be a more serious issue with your claim or account. In that case, you'll definitely need to speak with a rep. Good luck!

Wow, thanks for the detailed response! I'll work through this list and see if I can get it sorted.

This is great info. Mods should pin this or add it to the FAQ.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of SDI 🤡 where nothing works and we're all just clowns trying to get our benefits

fr fr 💯 it's like they WANT us to give up

0 coins

mood. been dealing with this nonsense for 3 months now 😭

0 coins

Have you checked if there's any scheduled maintenance? Sometimes they post notices about system downtime on their Twitter account.

0 coins

Not to be that guy, but are you sure you're eligible for SDI? Sometimes these errors pop up if there's an issue with your claim eligibility.

0 coins

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm eligible. I double-checked all the requirements before applying.

Gotcha, just thought I'd ask. Hope you get it sorted soon!

ugh i feel your pain. the whole system is so broken. took me 6 weeks to finally get my claim through. hang in there!

Hey Chad! I just went through this exact same error last week. What finally worked for me was logging out completely, clearing my browser data (cookies, cache, everything), then waiting about 30 minutes before trying again. Also make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might interfere - I had to disable my ad blocker. The system seems super sensitive to anything that might look suspicious. If you're still stuck after trying the browser fixes, definitely try the early morning approach that others mentioned. I got through at 6 AM on my third attempt. Don't give up - it's frustrating but you'll get there!

I had this exact same error E313 about two weeks ago! Super frustrating. What ended up working for me was a combination of things - first I cleared all my browser data like others mentioned, then I switched from Chrome to Firefox (sometimes different browsers handle their forms differently), and finally I tried submitting during off-peak hours. I successfully got through around 7 PM on a Tuesday evening. Also, make sure you're not hitting the back button or refreshing the page during submission - that seems to trigger the error more often. The whole process is definitely janky but don't lose hope! If you're still stuck after trying all the tech fixes, calling them is really your best bet even though the wait times are brutal.

Thanks Harold! That's really helpful info. I'm curious - when you switched to Firefox, did you have to re-enter all your information or did it save somehow? And did you notice any other differences between the browsers when using the SDI site?

I ran into E313 error about a month ago and it was driving me crazy! What finally worked for me was actually a bit different from what others have suggested - I had to make sure my browser was fully up to date first, then clear everything (cache, cookies, stored passwords), restart the browser completely, and then try using an incognito/private window. Something about the private window seemed to help bypass whatever was causing the conflict. Also, double-check that you don't have any form-filling extensions running - those can sometimes mess with government sites. The timing thing is real too - I had success around 11 PM on a weeknight when traffic was probably lower. It took me about 4 tries over 3 days but eventually went through. Hang in there Chad, you'll get it sorted!

Thanks Ella! The incognito window tip is brilliant - I never would have thought of that. I'm dealing with the same E313 error right now and getting nowhere with the regular troubleshooting. Did you notice if the incognito window made the site load any differently, or did it just seem to process the form submission better? I'm definitely going to try this tonight when traffic dies down. Really appreciate you sharing what worked!

I just dealt with this E313 error a few days ago! Super frustrating. Here's what worked for me after trying everything else - I actually had to disable my VPN completely. Turns out the SDI system flags certain IP addresses as suspicious and throws the E313 error. After disconnecting my VPN, clearing cache/cookies, and trying again about 20 minutes later, it went through perfectly. Also make sure you're not copying and pasting any information into the forms - type everything manually. The system seems to detect clipboard activity as potentially fraudulent. If you're not using a VPN, try switching to your phone's mobile data instead of WiFi, sometimes that helps bypass whatever filtering they're doing. Hope this helps Chad, the system is definitely quirky but you'll get through eventually!

Wow, the VPN thing is such a good point Ethan! I never would have thought that could cause issues but it makes total sense that they'd flag certain IPs. I'm actually using a VPN right now so I'll definitely try disconnecting it. The manual typing tip is interesting too - I've been copy/pasting my info to save time but if that's triggering security flags then it's obviously counterproductive. Thanks for sharing what worked for you, this gives me some new things to try!

Hey Chad! I just went through this exact same nightmare about 3 weeks ago. Error E313 had me pulling my hair out for days! What finally worked for me was a combination of several things: First, I completely logged out and cleared everything (cache, cookies, browsing history - the works). Then I waited overnight before trying again. The next morning around 6:30 AM, I used a completely different device (switched from my laptop to my phone) and made sure I was on regular mobile data, not WiFi. I also made sure to type everything manually instead of using autofill or copy/paste. The whole process went through smoothly on the first try after that. I think the key is really the timing plus using a "clean" browser session. The early morning thing that others mentioned is legit - way less traffic on their servers. Don't give up, you've got this! The system is definitely broken but there are ways to work around it.

Thanks Julia! Your approach sounds really thorough. I'm curious - when you switched from laptop to phone, did you notice the mobile version of the site working differently? I've been trying everything on my computer but haven't thought to use my phone yet. The overnight wait before trying again is something I haven't done either - I've been too impatient and kept trying the same day. Really appreciate you laying out the whole step-by-step process that worked for you!

I've been dealing with E313 errors for weeks and finally found what works! Try this exact sequence: 1) Completely close your browser and restart your computer, 2) Open a fresh incognito/private window, 3) Make sure you're not using a VPN or any browser extensions, 4) Try submitting between 5-7 AM or 10 PM-midnight when their servers aren't overwhelmed, and 5) Type everything manually - don't use autofill or copy/paste as their system flags that as suspicious. Also, if you're on WiFi, try switching to mobile data instead. I know it sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through, but this combination got me through after 2 weeks of failed attempts. The SDI system is incredibly finicky about browser state and network connections. Hang in there Chad - once you find the right combination it should go through!

This is exactly the kind of step-by-step guide I needed! Mason, your approach sounds super systematic. I've been randomly trying different things but having a clear sequence makes so much more sense. The computer restart tip is something I haven't tried yet - I've just been closing and reopening my browser. Quick question - when you say "type everything manually," does that include things like your social security number and address, or just the form fields that might trigger their fraud detection? I'm definitely going to try your method tonight during those off-peak hours. Thanks for taking the time to write out such a detailed process!
