SDI Error E313 Preventing Disability Application Submission - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to file for disability but I keep getting this error message E313 when I try to submit my application online. It's been happening since yesterday and I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else run into this? Any advice on how to get past it or who I should contact? I really need to get this application in soon.

Ugh, that sucks. I had a similar issue last month but it was error E301. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird glitches on government sites.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try and see if it helps. Fingers crossed 🤞

E313 is usually a server-side error. It means there's an issue on their end, not yours. You might just have to wait it out until they fix it. Keep trying every few hours.

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? 🤔

0 coins

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate after waiting on hold for hours. It worked exactly as advertised.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤮

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting whole days trying to get through.

Have you tried applying by mail? I know it's old school, but sometimes it's more reliable than dealing with their buggy website. You can download the forms from their site and mail them in.

I didn't even think about that! How long does it usually take if you mail it in?

It can take a couple weeks to process, but at least you know it's been received. Just make sure to send it certified mail so you have proof of delivery.

Here's what you need to do to resolve the E313 error: 1. First, try a different browser. Sometimes Chrome works when Firefox doesn't, or vice versa. 2. If that doesn't work, clear your cache and cookies as someone else suggested. 3. Make sure your internet connection is stable. Try using a wired connection if you're on Wi-Fi. 4. If you're still having issues, try accessing the site during off-peak hours, like early morning or late at night. 5. As a last resort, you can call their tech support line at 1-800-XXX-XXXX. Be prepared to wait though, their hold times are brutal. If none of that works, you might have to wait it out or use the mail-in option. Good luck!

Have you checked their Twitter? Sometimes they post about known issues there before they update the actual website.

I'm in the same boat, been trying to file for 3 days now. This system is a joke. How are we supposed to get help when we can't even submit an application?

Preach! 🙌 It's like they don't want us to get the benefits we're entitled to.

Pro tip: if you can't get through online, try calling right when they open. I got through after only a 20 minute wait last week. Good luck!

I had the exact same E313 error last week! What finally worked for me was switching to Microsoft Edge (I know, I know) and making sure JavaScript was enabled. Also try disabling any ad blockers or privacy extensions temporarily - sometimes they interfere with the EDD site's submission process. If you're still stuck, the disability hotline is 1-800-480-3287, but be prepared for a long wait. Hang in there, you'll get through this!
