EDD Disability Claim Error E313 - Help Needed!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to file a disability claim but I keep getting this error message E313. Has anyone else run into this? It's so frustrating, I've been trying for days and I can't get through. Any advice on what to do or how to fix this?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with weird error messages.

E313 is usually related to identity verification issues. Make sure you have all your documents ready: • Valid ID • Social Security card • Any recent correspondence from EDD • Proof of address (utility bill, etc.) Double-check that all the information you entered matches EXACTLY what's on your official documents. Even a small typo can trigger that error. If you're still having trouble, you might need to call them directly. Be prepared for a long wait time though!

Wow, thank you so much for the detailed response! I'll double-check all my info and make sure everything matches up perfectly.

This is great advice. I wish I had known this before I spent hours trying to figure it out on my own. šŸ’Æ

calling them directly? lmao good luck with that. i've been trying to get through for weeks

Have you tried filing during off-peak hours? Like really early in the morning or late at night? Sometimes the system gets overloaded during regular business hours and throws out random errors.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate enough to try anything. It's legit.

I had this exact same problem! Turns out I had an old claim that wasn't closed properly. Had to call in (took forever) but once I got through, they fixed it in like 5 minutes. Might be worth checking if you have any old claims hanging around.

The whole system is broken. They need to upgrade their tech from the stone age. We're living in 2023 and they're still using systems from the 90s smh

Preach! šŸ™Œ It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us.

Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes Internet Explorer (I know, I know) works better with these old government systems.

I didn't even think of that! I'll give it a shot, thanks for the tip.

Guys, I work in IT. Here's a pro tip: try accessing the site using incognito/private browsing mode. It bypasses a lot of caching issues and might help with that E313 error.

This actually worked for me! You're a lifesaver šŸ™

I've been dealing with E313 errors too and what finally worked for me was a combination of things: first, I made sure to file my claim between 2-4 AM when the servers are less busy, then I used Firefox in incognito mode, and most importantly - I went through each section of the form VERY slowly, saving after each page. Don't rush through it! The system seems to timeout or glitch if you move too fast. Also double-check that your browser allows pop-ups from the EDD site. Hope this helps! šŸ¤ž
