SDI agent accused me of being on a 3-way call during claim inquiry - wtf?

So I finally got through to SDI about my disability claim payment, but the agent was acting super weird. They kept going on about hearing another voice and saying it was a three-way call. I was like, what? They said they'd have to escalate it. I'm not doing anything illegal, just trying to get my payment sorted out. Has anyone else had this happen? The agent didn't even tell me anything about my claim or why there might be delays. I'm so confused and frustrated right now.

Ugh, that sounds frustrating af. I've had similar experiences with SDI agents being all paranoid. They're probably just overworked and stressed. Did you try explaining that there wasn't actually anyone else on the call?

Yeah, I tried to explain but the agent just wouldn't listen. It's like they had already made up their mind that something sketchy was going on. So annoying!

Maybe try calling back and hope for a different agent? Sometimes you just get a bad egg 🄚

Good idea, I'll give that a shot. Fingers crossed for a more reasonable agent next time! šŸ¤ž

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

How does it work exactly? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

•

Yeah, basically. They have some automated system that navigates the phone menu and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it forwards the call to you. Pretty clever!

This is why the system is so messed up. They're more concerned about catching people in some imaginary fraud than actually helping folks who need it. SMH šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I've been dealing with SDI for months now, and let me tell you, it's a complete clown show 🤔 Half the time they don't know what they're talking about, and the other half they're accusing you of something. Here's what I've learned: • Always get the name and ID of the agent you're speaking with • Take detailed notes of every call • If an agent is being difficult, politely ask to speak with a supervisor • Follow up every call with an email summarizing what was discussed • Don't be afraid to file a complaint if you're treated unfairly Stay strong, OP. We're all in this leaky boat together!

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records of my calls. It's sad we have to go to such lengths just to get what we're entitled to.

plot twist: maybe there WAS someone else on the call and you just didn't know it šŸ‘»šŸ‘€

Lol, don't even joke about that! šŸ˜… I'm already paranoid enough as it is!

Has anyone else noticed that SDI seems to be getting worse lately? I swear, every time I call it's like they've changed the rules again. It's impossible to keep up!

Omg yes! I thought it was just me. It's like they're playing calvinball with our benefits šŸ

I heard they implemented a new system recently. Probably explains why everything's more of a mess than usual.

Hey OP, any update? Were you able to get through to a different agent and sort things out?

Not yet, but I'm gonna try calling again tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted!

This is why I always record my calls with SDI (its legal in my state as long as one party consents). That way, if they try to pull any shenanigans, I have proof of what was actually said.

Smart move! Just be careful, laws about recording calls can be tricky. Make sure you're 100% clear on your state's rules before doing this.

Good point! Always do your research first. In my case, I double-checked with a lawyer friend to make sure I was in the clear.

have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under SDI's a** and get things moving.
