SDI claim update: Disconnected calls and radio silence. Any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get an update on my SDI claim. I filed it a while back and haven't heard anything. Has anyone else had trouble getting through to them? I tried calling but got disconnected. It's so frustrating!

Ugh, I feel your pain. The SDI system is a nightmare rn. I've been trying to get an update on my claim for weeks. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? Sometimes that works better.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Do you know what time they open?

I think its 8am, but double check on there website to be sure. Good luck!

8am is correct. But be ready to hit redial for an hour straight šŸ™„

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The system is broken if we gotta pay to talk to someone 😤

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to save time, ya know?

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure! You just go to their website, choose the SDI line, pay, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. No guarantee, but it worked for me first try.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes its faster than calling.

SDI is the worst! I've been waiting for 3 months to get my claim approved. The whole system needs an overhaul. 🤬

3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up.

Here's what I've learned about getting SDI updates after dealing with this for way too long: • Try calling right when they open at 8am • Use the online portal to check your claim status regularly • If you can't get through, try emailing them (response times vary) • Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them • If all else fails, contact your local state representative for help It's a frustrating process, but persistence is key. Don't give up! And remember, once approved, payments are usually retroactive to your filing date.

This should be pinned to the top of the subreddit tbh šŸ’Æ

lol good luck. SDI is where claims go to die. I'm convinced they just ignore us and hope we'll go away 🤔

Sad but true. The system is totally broken.

Has anyone had luck with the SDI mobile app? I heard they launched one recently but idk if it's any good.

I tried it. It's okay for checking status, but still can't get ahold of a real person through it. Better than nothing I guess šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
