Missed SDI callback - How to follow up on claim?

Hey everyone, I filed an SDI claim recently and I'm trying to follow up on it. I missed their call back and now I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else been in this situation? What's the best way to get in touch with them?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The SDI system is such a mess. I've been trying to get through to them for weeks. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get help. 🤬

Tell me about it! I swear they change their phone menu options every other day just to confuse us.

Yep, its a total nightmare. I've spent hours on hold only to get disconnected. Anyone else feel like were living in a kafka novel?

LOL @kafka novel. That's exactly what it feels like. We're all just clowns in their circus 🤡

I actually found a way to get through to a real person! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that calls for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when an agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video explaining how it works: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but for me it was worth every penny. I was able to resolve my issue in one call instead of wasting days trying to get through.

Just used it yesterday and it worked like a charm! Definitely beats pulling your hair out on hold for hours.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I've had some luck getting through that way. Also, make sure you have all your claim info ready before you call. They'll ask for a ton of details.

Pro tip: if you miss their call, try calling back immediately. Sometimes you can catch the same agent who just tried to reach you. worked for me once!

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot next time.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Filed my claim 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. The waiting game is killing me. Anyone know how long it typically takes to process these claims?

It varies wildly. I got mine processed in 2 weeks, but my friend has been waiting for over a month. The system is so backed up rn

Here's what I've learned from dealing with SDI: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. 3. If possible, use their online portal to submit questions. Sometimes it's faster than phone. 4. Check your spam folder regularly. Important emails can end up there. 5. If you're really stuck, reach out to your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. 6. Be prepared for long wait times. Have something to do while on hold. 7. Double-check all your paperwork before submitting. One small error can cause big delays. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪

This is gold! Thanks for sharing your experience. Wish I had known all this when I started my claim.

Great advice! I'd add: if you fax anything, always follow up with a phone call to confirm they received it.

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? It's like they're hoping we'll just go away if they make it hard enough. 🙄

100% this. It's a war of attrition and they're winning.
