Filed PFL claim a month ago, no updates. Normal wait time for CA EDD?

Ugh, welcome to the club. I filed mine 2 months ago and still crickets. The waiting game is brutal.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research: • Processing times can vary wildly, from 2-8 weeks typically • Make sure all your docs are in order (medical certification, etc.) • If you haven't heard anything after 4 weeks, definitely try to contact them • Check your online account regularly for updates • Sometimes they need additional info but don't tell you 🙄 • If you can get through on the phone, be super nice to the rep (they're overworked) Hang in there, OP! The system is a mess but you'll get your benefits eventually.

Plot twist: the parental leave program is actually run by toddlers. That's why everything takes forever and makes no sense 🤡
