EDD payments stopped since Feb 24 - What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I haven't gotten any payments from unemployment since February 24th. It's been over a month now and I'm starting to get really worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what I should do or ask when I finally get through to someone on the phone?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Have you tried checking your account online to see if there are any messages or updates? Sometimes they put holds on accounts without telling you.

•Yeah, I've checked online but there's nothing new there. It's so frustrating!

•Oof, that's rough. Definitely push for answers when you get someone on the phone. Don't let them brush you off!

Here's what you need to ask when you finally get through: 1. Check if there are any holds or issues with your account 2. Ask about the status of your payments since February 24th 3. See if they can give you a timeline for your next payment 4. Find out if they need any additional documents or actions from you Stay persistent and don't hang up until you get clear answers. Good luck!

•Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I'll definitely use these questions when I call.

•Great advice! I'd also suggest asking for a reference number for the call. It helps if you need to follow up later.

•Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it totally works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•20 bucks tho? That's steep when you're already broke from no unemployment ðŸ˜

•@profile 10 I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get answers. Beats wasting hours on hold!

idk if this helps, but I was in a similar situation last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and my payments were stuck in limbo. Had to escalate to a tier 2 rep to get it fixed. Don't give up!

OP, have you checked if your benefit year ended? Sometimes that can cause a gap in payments while they review your claim. Might be worth looking into.

lmao welcome to the club 🤡 EDD's motto should be 'We'll get to it when we get to it' smh
